I forgot abot Samurai and not surprised , his time off was definately warrented . All of his 2 yo numbers + that neg 2 in his 3 yo debut were pointing in one direction , the wrong one  ...
I don\'t care whose up on a horse either , they\'re all in the jockey\'s union etc , although for instance when Krone came back a couple times ago she wouldn\'t come through on the inside or come through in tight quarters and if the horse needed to save ground one had to think about that when handicapping    ...

JESUS!!!! He overslept for chrissake. Dunno about you keyboard jocks but I oversleep once a month. He is a big rider. He will not choke a potential Derby win. Yes he might go wide. He gave Imperialism basically the same trip he gave Fu Peg and in 2004 he got stuck down in there. Break and settle, put him on the fence down the back side and sneak through on the turn.

Under SNS He sits 6th down the back side on the outside in the clear, goes three wide on the final turn, throws some crosses, sets him down for the drive and wins by three lengths. Here are your exotics:

SNS
Over
Lawyer
Barbaro
AP Warrior
Jazil
Showing Up
Pt Determined

I see the bad moon arising.
I see trouble on the way.
I see wide on turns thats frightnin.
I see bad times Saturday.

Desormeaux sleeps late, that\'s right,
and thats bound to cause you strife,
There's a bad moon on the rise.

I hear hurricanes ablowing.
I know the end is coming soon.
I fear the rivers over flowing.
I see Saint bettors filled with gloom.

All right!

Desormeaux don\'t care, that\'s right,
and thats bound to cause you strife,
There's a bad moon on the rise.

Hope you got your things together.
Hope you are quite prepared to die.
Looks like he\'s in for nasty weather.
One eye is taken for an eye.

Desormeaux goes Wide, that\'s right,
and thats bound to cause you strife,
There's a bad moon on the rise.

Yes he overslept, we all have, but do we turn off our cell phones so our bosses or fellow employees can\'t touch base with us? Well,if I was going back to Louisville where I had some past glory, I might look up some old friends & disconnect the phone too on second thought. Gotta keep an ear open to this situation, SNS is definately the wise guy horse now, and damn 1 of mine also.

You\'re insane.  There are a reason guys like Russell Baze, Joe Bravo, Jeremy Rose, and others never are able to shine in the big spotlight on a consistent basis. It\'s one or a combination of riding skills, attitude, work ethic, etc. You think Rose enjoys grinding it out at LRL, PIM, and DEL?  Or how about Baze at BM and GG?  Yeah, I\'m sure a thirtysomething Bravo loves MTH and MED over SAR and BEL.  These guys aren\'t in Desormeaux\'s league and it\'s what separates the Baileys, Stevens, and McCarrons from guys who can dominate the small pond, but turn into chum when they hit the big time.

This is the very thing I was referring to. You refer to me as \"insane\" and I have to be civil with you. Theres a double standard. I don\'t think I\'ve directly called anyone names here, but you\'re also exhibiting the very lack of attention to detail that I was referring to. I apparently have to say something nice about you now. I like your nick.

Rose is about 26 years old and already has two Triple Crown races on his resume. He came close to a Breeders Cup win as well.  He\'s a trememdous physical athlete as his remaining in the saddle in the Preakness amply demonstrates. He saves ground. He\'s fearless. You can\'t compare him to the old guys that didn\'t move up when their opportunity knocked.

Theres something else going on right now. The icons of the saddle are all retiring. Day, Bailey, Stevens, Pincay, Delahoussaye, McCarron. Others are getting old and have lost the edge they once had: Smith, Desormeaux, Solis. Santos, just to name a few. Theres a void and it will need to be filled. The guys you mentioned clearly are not going to fill that void. Jeremy Rose has all the pedigree to fill it and thats the difference. To a great extent he\'s already there and though it doesn\'t matter to you. I\'d much prefer that \"kid\" on a horse like SnS than a jock like Desormeaux that hasn\'t accomplished as much as has been intimated and who pulls bonehead rides and who now obviously can\'t be trusted.

As I began with I dont\' bet Jocks. But theres horses where a clear thinking, quick reflexed jockey are important. I think SnS is such a horse and Desormeaux is a liability. Desormeaux is not making that horse. He could louse him up.

I speak on here like I would speak to my friends... insane is not literal.  Anyway, by your standards, Stew Elliot has two TC wins... sure as heck wouldn\'t put him on my Classic horse either.

TGJB

CTC-- yeah, some double standard. You keep going down that road and we\'ll be talking about those drunken posts that got you barred the first time around.

I\'ll credit you with the Derby picks. But my problem is not with your loving yourself, you don\'t-- those that do don\'t feel the need to brag constantly or have a pathological need for attention, and I don\'t care about your issues one way or the other. My problem is with your behavior on this site, and I\'m going to deal with it if it continues. Yes, Easy\'s comment was insulting-- but guess who created the climate for that. You don\'t see a whole lot of guys insulting each other on this site when they disagree-- except when you are involved.

JB, as a passerby, who reads this board daily (if not every other day)... I don\'t see why you are dogging CTC.  BUT, thats just me!

Contrary to popular belief those posts where not made in a drunken fog. If I\'m not mistaken I was goading your friend Alydar who was always an easy mark.

Jerry, I think you missed your calling. You\'re pretty darn good at Figure Making, I saw your concern cited at Three Chimney\'s in regard to Smarty Jones speed figures, but I think where your heart lays is psychology. You coulda been a shrink and thats reputable work.

Why is that?

Well, what do you think of the following. If you had Victor Espinoza lined up to work Super Frolic before the this years Breeders Cup Classic and flew him in a week before his only work on the track for that race and he missed that work, would you retain him for the race knowing his excuse was he \"overslept\"? If this bothers some folks here I can\'t help it.

I know thats a hypothetical question and theres many variables to consider, the least of which not being the availbility of a suitable replacement, but assuming its your call, what would you do?

To me it makes all the difference in the world.

ok no offense actually taken

I may even ride SnS down to disaster with Desormeaux

TGJB

There are indeed a lot of variables in your hypothetical, but I\'ll tell you what I wouldn\'t do-- make a decision a week before a big race that lessens a horse\'s chances. And that\'s not a comment on Kent-- he\'ll never ride for Parra again after the ride on SF in the Pacific Classic. You definitely don\'t want that ride in the Derby.

On the other, you just can\'t figure out the right move is to shut the ---- up, huh. Okay-- so you\'re saying you wrote those anti-semitic posts cold sober?

Calvin Borel did a fine job during the work. To my eye Desormeaux has been a passenger on SoS. Theres some good jocks out there much more dedicated to discipline at this stage of their careers. More amenable to listening to advice. With Desormeaux youre on an island. Hes a castaway and is gonna do whatever he thinks because no one is there with him.

Was I actually anti-semitic for the sake of hate? Or, was I pro American and adamant about removing those from our offices of power that do not think of America's interests first and foremost? But more importantly, did I handicap that race accurately? Wasn\'t I saying it was improperly influenced and a huge mistake from the very beginning? Its over now, but the dual citizens in Bush\'s Whitehouse couldn\'t have hoped to happen across a more malleable man than the one they influenced. The guy is clay. That invasion ran against all our Principles, was a monumental mistake and is something that we will regret but once and that will be continually.

Alydar would probably enjoy an extended diatribe upon the subject, but this is my last commentary. Even if I am crazy and filled with anti Semitism for hate\'s sake, I win the Derby and that's all that matters.

Would now be a good time for a funny Jewish joke?

TGJB

CTC--

1-- The comments I was referring to had nothing to do with foreign policy.

2-- On your site, picking the Derby can be the only thing that matters. I\'ve told you what matters here. And as you were then, you are walking a fine line. There\'s a limited amount of time I\'m gonna spend letting you play on the edges, or time I\'m gonna waste on you.

SNS is now down to 6-1 on the biggest offshore site. He\'s now the official wiseguy horse.
