Some people see what they want to see. If you watched the entire series and you can\'t tell that SS was the quicker more athletic horse (epecially on the turns) then you are watching with your heart and not your eyes.

Lance,

Thanks, I forgot what a great race that was between two terrific horses, Sunday Silence and Easy Goer.Have to agree the NY bias gave EG the ink but Sunday Silence was better because of his superior gate quickness and overall athleticism. That was the difference in the scorecard 3-1 for SS.Very similar to Alydar/Affirmed, NY Alydar the media darling, Affirmed the superior all around horse.

Interesting in looking back at Sunday Silence and Easy Goer\'s derby TG figs, both were app 10 lenghts slower than GIACOMO !!

\"Once again on the check I have absolutely no idea what you\'re talking about.\"

It\'s when Dave Johnson comments about SS being \"in tight quarters.\" It looks to me like PVal snatches SS back. Maybe not. Whatever the case, you\'re right -- great race, two great horses. We all see the world through our own eyes, which is one of the fun things about racing: my opinion/analysis versus yours...let\'s bet on it.

Have a good week.

Glad you enjoyed it, Miff. Youtube is actually a surprisingly good resource for dredging up old racing videos.

P-Dub;

I can certainly understand Sunday Silence being at the top of anyone\'s \"favorite horses list\". Just watched the replays on YouTube and seeing how gamely he fought back after Easy passed him for the second time in the Preakness ... something special!

Just watched the Youtube clip too.....great stuff. Thanks for the link, Lance. Those 2 horses put on quite a show that year.

The critique sounds as if you\'re the one influenced by heart and eyes.

I made my decisions upon the basis of something much more concrete than that.

But now I am applying that insight to the Preakness.
