Ask the Experts / J Boys Echo - What am I missing?
June 09, 2017, 10:44:34 AM
This horse is being bet offshore. Down from 16-1 yesterday to 10-1 today. He also has been bet heavy in all 4 of the HtH matchups - over SI, Mean, Mult, and Patch.
Big number in Gotham, bounce, non effort. O-2-X is not this strong of play. Sterling did pick him on top!

Ask the Experts / Favorite and H-to-H wagering

IWC will be the Big favorite if you look at hth wagering.
IWC -158 AD +122
IWC -140 CE +110
IWC -138 McC +104
IWC -180 Gunny +140
CRIS is taking 1k wagers My belief is that this is the best indicator (real money) of the fav. This guy is being bet so hard that he is also the wise guy horse.

Ask the Experts / King T. Leatherbury and the T-graphs
April 30, 2017, 05:45:18 PM
In the late 80\'s and early 90\'s the King was a big Thorographs user. At that time I believe only 2 or 3 sets of T-graphs were sold in Maryland. I could only afford them on big days. I believe $25 for 3 or 4 pounds of paper. A buddy and myself would sit close to the King\'s box just for a chance to get some \"slop over\" T-graph info. The point of the story - I cannot tell you how many times the box and us would be stating, \"Biggest last T-graph number wins again.\" Many times at incredible odds (8-1 or greater.)
Do not take it for granted that a horse will bounce off a big effort. Of course, back in the 80\'s, we were most always getting high enough odds to justify betting biggest last number.

Man it is close!
AD 5.5 to 1
IWC 5.75 to 1
CE 6.25 to 1
Only other horse under 10-1 is Gunny at 9.5 to 1.
CRIS is taking around a 5k wager at these numbers.

Ask the Experts / Re: Girvin

If the other numbers have him two points faster in his last race or maybe his last two races - this one looks a lot like McCraken- but in the 20-1 range.

The other board is giving some of attention to Girvin. It seems he must be much faster with their numbers. One of the slowest with Thoro - but a nice enough pattern.

Lots of big move ups for sure. Does anyone know how horses coming in off a bounce has done? At leash 20% of the horse coming in off a bounce.
Gunnevera backs up 5, Tapwrit backs up 3, Patch backs up 4, J Boy backs up 3,

Just watched replay again - announcer states, \"one for the judges\". 8 seconds after they hit the line, they announce the winner.

Ask the Experts / DWC Race 5 - The Right Man - Long On Value
March 26, 2017, 09:57:50 PM
Did anyone see the photo? How in the world did they know the winner so quickly? I went frame by frame on my DVR - looked like a dead heat to me. The tv coverage must have had a bad angle - that is my only thought.

Just saw the stretch replay - Thunder Snow seem to get scared of the giant television screen and bore out for a couple of jumps. TS was very game to win that race.
