Well, I just want to thank Thorograph and whoever said hard spun liked the slop- I nailed the 9 tri on a $2 bet, got cobalt to win, the 5th tri and exacta in 11! There\'s no way I would have had a good day without all your expertize helping me on. I know it\'s not much to you experts, but I almost passed out when I won the 9th- it was so exciting. I hope it doesn\'t sound like I\'m boasting, I\'m just so excited and I really am grateful to Thorograph and all you guys. Do you really have lap dancers and Dom? I\'m getting a jump on Christmas! Thanks so much!

Uncle Buck

Had I pulled the trigger on Kip DeVille I would have had a good day. I went with No Biz and Cosmonaut and got schooled. Octave was my last gasp and mid stretch I thought it was gravy, but she just can\'t find another gear late. Fun day but I came home with less than I went with. Had I spent another $15 on the seminar (Doh!) I would have won today. Coolmore has a long trip home. Bummer to be sure for them

Is it me or does this board seem to be hyping JB\'s picks a little too much...I don\'t think you can say TG is on fire...I went through each race and if you went by his comments...it would have been hard to have a good Breeders Cup.  He touted English Channel and War Pass but they were short priced...and I didn\'t need sheets or JB to like either.  Kudos on the Kip Deville pick...But with those winners..he was way off with the exotics...I don\'t believe he picked one exacta..  His strongest picks were La Traviata and Discreet Cat who both ran up the track on Friday.  You could not have had Lahudood....He didn\'t like Midnight Lute or Indian Blessing....No doubt that racing is a tough game..but when you\'re selling a product and have all this information behind your picks..I guess I would just expect a little better.

nicely nicely

For those of you that come right here, and don\'t go through the main page, the seminar is up for review in our archives.

The Analysis will be available in the Redboard Room tomorrow.

...to be fair, I think the analysis of the Distaff pointed to a $140 exacta, if
I remember correctly.

The key to the distaff was to marginalize the Plech runners. I just wish Rags had made the field is all.

It was a very good day to move all Plech horses down. That said, he really didn\'t have that many going.

Great Day for the once and future king Bobby Baffert, who shows more knowledge in a well chosen joke than Plech will garner by the time hes 70.

The best horse won the Classic, but that second place horse is a game animal. I hope they run him next year. If they do, he\'ll win everything.

Excellent point by someone on ESPN comparing Pletcher to A-Rod.

Racing reduced to no National TV and an ESPN top Sports Honcho who is more inclined to show last year\'s poker/hold em tourneys, biking etc.,anything but horse racing. They cut from every post parade except the classic to hype college football, after all who wants to see the horses parade and how they look.

The poor weather, mainly, and the lack of advertising made this BC a betting handle failure.Kenny Mane is a clown, Hank Greenburg is an on air drunk(their gambling guru)Jerry (the Ego) Bailey is ok and poor Randy Moss is a lonely solid pro giving true racing fans pertinent info.

Almost nothing about shoes on a day like that, unbelievable. Caulks and bends did very well, I heard, and finding out who was wearing them was almost impossible if you were not at Monmouth.

I was on track and I have to say I thought Monmouth did a real nice job with the event...It was my first Breeders Cup and I had a blast..despite not cashing too many tickets.  Crowds were manageable...Stood at the rail of the paddock for 2 races including the paddock...it was great to see u close.  I hope the track gets another chance at it in the future with hopefully better weather.  Did anyone see the ad in the program bought by Sam Houston Racepark?  I guess they want to host the BC in 2010....let\'s hope they\'re not serious.

Blind Switch

Somebody had interviewed Larry Jones earlier in the ESPN show and he indicated his horses would be wearing mud caulks but they said nothing about all the others.

Hank Greenberg is a complete ass. Jerry Bailey is an insufferable gas-bag and Randy Moss just had to bring up the tawdry legal problems the previous owners of Curlin were going through (re. the Fen-Fen fraud case) in a failed attempt to add some journalistic integrity to the post-race discussion. I think it was just non-sense. The whole thing was sad.

Let them run the Quarter Horse Championship Event in Texas. That Breeders Cup at Lone Star was a joke and Texas forfeit the right to ever host another Breeders Cup. Fans would rather run the damn event on Poly every year than ever in Texas again.

Texas has lost in every big event since the Alamo. Besides, Texas really isn\'t part of the United States any way. It\'s really Northern Mexico and we should give it back. They can run their Thoroughbred Championship there if they wish.

Bailey is a gas bag isn\'t he?...lol

Hes not a very good handicapper. Now we know it wasn\'t him making the correct calls on mounts.
