Ive thought about of this question alot and how to make money in time  and heres what comes to my mind....  I really feel in order be a winning gambler in general that the same wager has to be placed consistently... what i mean is that if we do a win bet, keep ALL the win bets at lets say $50 for example... if u do a pick 3..  do a $1 ticket and spend the same amount each time (lets say 3x3x3 = $27)... keep EVERYTHING CONSISTENT (from bankroll each day to wagers placed)... the reason i say this is an example i will give lets say on football betting... u can win 100 games in a row at $100 a game for a $10000 profit..but if that 101 time u wager 15000 and lose..  u have won 100 of 101 times and are down $5000...  on horses, IMO even though the oddds are different on each horse,  if we can control and be consistent with the amount taken out of pocket, then each player can see if they are a success in the longterm at the racetrack .. im not sayin u cant make any money any other way but in any type of gambling thats the only way i see as making money over time unless someone were to hit some huge superfecta or trifecta and could use the  profit off the hit to carry then in time....  u guys see what im saying with all this.. what do u all think?

I really think that we have a LOT of horses each year that are superstars but they get run into the ground because of improper rest...  look at someone like Bellamy Road..the horse ran out of his mind (negative 5 or so) last year then ran like 30 days later in the derby.... same thing this year with bafferts horse Sinister Minister...  that horse ran a neg 4.5... If any of these horses had at least 3 months rest i guarantee they come back to another number pretty close to what they ran and those numbers beat a horse like Bernardini... Bernardini has had the rest needed to keep improving..   I guarantee if Baffert trained Bernardini and won the preakness, he wouldve brought him out for the belmont stakes and destroyed the horses future..or maybe its just the owners who knows but the fact is that these horses need rest and its obvious they are not getting it after these monster numbers

Lets not get too crazy here guys... Ghostzapper ran negative 6s!  and he beat horses in the same race running negative 3\'s to negative 6s (saint liam).. which was amazing... Bernardini is a great horse but hasnt ran vs. any quality...  the preakness he came in the second fastest... jim dandy he much the fastest and yesterday other then bg cat being 2 points slower and in form..the rest of the field was garbage.. i would say hes one of the best 3 yos ever but lets see what he does vs faster/older horses

Ask the Experts / Travers Rundown

HesAnOldSalt -   Paired up his top and has developed finally from those 4s as a 2yo.  Last time he paired top efforts it took several races to get back into top form.  Il expect a slight regression off the pair and toss going the 1 and 1/4.

Minister\'s Bid -  Dont really like horses running too fast too early but has run big numbers.  That last 3 was in the slop so as long as its fast out there tommorow id say he comes back to a 0-2 effort.   Must use underneath.

Dr Pleasure -  Kinda like this one.  After those 77days off he came back to his 2yo top which was good.  And then paired again running in the slop.  To me his best chance to move forward was last time out but has never run the slop before so i\'ll give em another try to bust through a new top (hopefully several points)on a fast track.

High Cotton -  Has 7 weeks off the top effort and at best i say he pairs.  Has a good chance to go back though several points.  Kinda ify on him so i would use him lightly below.

Bernardini -  Horse is a monster and hasn\'t shown anything wrong yet. Raced big in the slop last out and has 28 days off and races 2nd time off the short layoff.  Trainer profile doesnt show a good percentage of horses that pair 2nd off the layoff so...I think he can race another top lets say neg 3.25?

Kip Deville -   I think I could throw Marcus on my back and we can run this race and beat this animal.  haha way too slow to be in here.

Bluegrass Cat -  Has been bery consistent but is coming off two top efforts.  Only has 20 days off now and i would def say he will regress a couple points.  Looks like a good race for the owners though cause this is a short field with a a few slow horses..the horse should be able to get about 3rd place or so and with the million dollar purse thats still a nice payday....for them. Il use lightly just like high cotton.

Break down -   This race kinda reminds me of the pacific classic..  looks like we can key the fastest horse Bernardini and still get nice prices for the ex/tri and supers.   Il key Bernardini and play dr plesure and ministers bid for second in the exacta..  then part key the tri and super with those two in second then for third and forth (super) those two along with bg cat and high cotton.  Good luck !!

i think lava man will be fine..  in fact they should just give him rest til BC day... they saved saint liam last year to give him rest and he ran a great race and won

OK guys...  I think i have the horse...  It seems as if Perfect Drift likes the Del Mar Track..  has raced a neg 0.5 the last two times its raced here durin the summer. His last two races were a pair up and I do expect the forward move here plus he is capable of muah faster than the neg 0.5..  The biggest thing is that the neg 0.5 could win this race easily... what do you guys think?
