Nice Call , Graph-Racing and TGROTW  - Can I get a  Teamate / Super Frolic Double ... Does SF get another race before the BC or is this the prep ? I\'m just trying to gauge how many tix I\'ll be cashing for the rest of the year ...

RICH

I will be using Good Reward in there. I like those last 3 races, small little jumps, a point or two puts him right there. Shug has this horse working at Saratoga, he could have run in the Woodward, but instead ships cross country?

marcus

I can see why you like GR , nice sheet , pattern and TGI at 5 yo + up all seem to indicate soundness and good number power...

BitPlayer

I\'m curious why Magnum didn\'t get a dead rail mark for the Gold Cup?

curly

Probably bc he raced \"off\" the rail

OK guys...  I think i have the horse...  It seems as if Perfect Drift likes the Del Mar Track..  has raced a neg 0.5 the last two times its raced here durin the summer. His last two races were a pair up and I do expect the forward move here plus he is capable of muah faster than the neg 0.5..  The biggest thing is that the neg 0.5 could win this race easily... what do you guys think?

marcus

He\'s another one too - if you got a good feeling about it - send it in ! I\'m using him , LM and Rich\'s horse as savers over in ex pw to protect the win bet w/ SF ...

Wildly Ridden

My thoughts exactly, Seems he was on the rail at least half way around in the Gold Cup. I dont quite get his sheet. I have been following him since the Big Cap and I think the race at Lone Star was effortless.  I don\'t see it as a reaction in the last race at all. He was a victim of a poor tactical ride by PVal. Maybe Pat was allready back on the hooch at post time, who knows. As for this race I think Magnum will improve with the extra 1/8 but I am not sure it will make up for the evening of weights. My bet will be made based on any value I can find but it will revolve around Magnum, LM and PD.

Smart money here in Vegas is on Magnum. The last race was all P. Val\'s fault. If \"the bounce\" happens, the gimmicks will be huge! In my opinion,Shug couldn\'t train a fat man to run around a bb! That\'s just my opinion......

Didn\'t Shug win the Alabama yesterday? Sure those were fillies and he seems to be better with fillies lately.

Good Reward has run two big Turf races at the distance. He\'s been a lesser dirt horse. Why is he here? Last time Shug shipped him in out West he scored, granted it was a turf score, and the Prairie Meadows try was argueably Good Reward\'s best ever dirt try. Was it a tune up? The two Grade I turf wins trouble me. They are fast and Turf winning efforts are not usually as fast as the same horse can run on Dirt IF he can adapt to both surfaces. Big IF, this horse hasnt shown that adaptation YET. This horse however has been aimed for Turf spots before, the said Grade I\'s. Obviously, he can be aimed for a turf spot. Can he be aimed for a Dirt spot and has Shug taken aim?

Lava Man gets all the break in the equal weights. Perfect Drift has given weight before at times and today he gets to run level. It will be a stunner to me if Preaching at the Bar can stay in the hunt with the pressure he figures to face from Lava Man. He\'s not been of this level in the past. Neither has Giacomo and their close finish together last doesn\'t fill me with dread. I\'m much more fearful of Good Reward here. Super Frolic can be very competitive and he\'s on his game again. The distance has suited him. All he needs is a break and a good trip.

This one is a dilly.

Super Frolic and Good Reward with Lava Man worked around them. Perfect Drift in the mix.

lava man looks pretty tough here at equal weights.

should get the perfect trip.

even money the issue though.

i will go fishing with good reward.

i like the switch from smith to gomez, and the extra eighth should suit.

15-1 is fair.

tmon

I\'m taking a shot Top This and That win and Place and exacta box with Lava Man.

tmon

Well I was half right Ha ha. Lava Man ran the othe horses off their legs.

Michael D.

tough animal that lava man.

brilliant ride by gomez round out the $66 exacta.

$415 tri if you had faith in the TG value pick (which i did not). he was 2nd best.

LM\'s trainer talking about writing the 150g check to run in the BC at CD.

i would have to side with bernardini and invasor over lava man on that strip.

Lava Man was game, but the thing set up pretty well for him. Super lost a lot of ground again, but when he wasn\'t gonna win shed no tears about him getting beat for second. He\'ll be a factor in the B.C. Classic again it appears.
