Now that the dust has settled I just want to tell you how much I appreciate your fantastic insight into horse racing. I am a new comer to TG and am still working on understanding all the where as and what is. Your 2015 KD seminar as far as I am concerned was dead on. I do not see me going anywhere else next year and look forward to the KD 2016 seminar. Thank You, T-Webb

I like materiality, his TG numbers are good, his WO. are good and if you believe in dosage he fits. But what I can not get over is his lack of 2 year old racing. I know rules are meant to be broken and this rule is bound to be broken sooner or later but does he have the class/breeding to be the first horse to win the Derby without having raced as a 2 year old. I will leave it up to the experts to determine if he is to be that horse.

On another note, I was reading about AP\'s arrival in CD this week and the picture of him to me looked really bad! chest was very well developed but his hind QTRS looked tucked in and gaunt. Granted this picture could have been from a bad angle and such but the picture I found of him at the Arkansas Derby looked different. In the Ark. Derby picture he looked very good and filled out. So is it just me or has anyone else noticed this picture of his arrival at CD?

Is it possible for a horse that seems to be improving or maybe one coming into his own, to overcome his trainer and go on to win the derby; based only on the talents of the horse?

well it makes sense why tell the world what problems your horse is having. I thought this piece of information prior to the Belmont was very good and will be something I will pay attention to if it comes up again.

are vet reports available for all races or just major races? If available how would one go about accessing the vet report at the track he was planning on betting?

Twinspires will accept my Oklahoma address, now just need to sign up and put some money in the account and I am all set. If Twinspires has a bonus for referrals let me know and I will tell them you referred me. Thanks!

you know I do have a brother who lives in Missouri and he does owe me a favor!   lol just might have to do that. I like Remington big spacious and usually plenty of tellers just might have to drive down the next time. I know TVG wont let me for the same reasons I previously mentioned but just may have to check into the other one. Thanks

Thank you, I checked it out and it will not help me.  I live in Oklahoma and they won\'t let me join. So I will have to drive 2 hours to OKC(Remington Park)or 2 hours to Tulsa(Fair Meadows) or 3 hours to Claremore (Will Rogers Downs) Probable use the little OTB in Newkirk till the Big races in the fall, Breeders Cup and definitely going somewhere else for the Derby next May! would have loved to be able to give you a referral but cant join xpress bet.

The little OTB that I have to use unless I drive for over 2 hours, had the following problems. 1 teller for cashing and betting till sometime after 1:00pm then they added a second teller. a waiting line to bet all the races not just the Belmont of about 20 minutes. As the Belmont approached with about an hour till the gate opened, the line was a good 75 to 100 people waiting to bet, cash tickets etc. etc. with about 2 minutes till the gate opened the line was down to about 5 people in line but with a small room the place was packed with people wanting to watch the Belmont. I have already made plans to watch and wager on the Derby next year at an OTB many hours away but I think it will be worth the drive and overnight stay.

My point I tried to make(very poorly) was picking Ferdinand thru sheer bling stupid luck. After all these years I still think I have not progressed much from the Ferdinand derby. I still love derby day, still love going to bet the ponies, and love to watch my 2 favorite horse racing shows, \"let it Ride\" and \"the Long Shot.\"

My first derby was in 1986, Mom wanted to go to the local track and bet the ponies it was our first time to see live races and bet the derby. We played several of the under card races won a little lost a little then came the derby.Mom and my brother quickly went to the betting window to make their derby bet, me I couldn\'t find my horse. It was almost time for race I had to make a decision, so I did the only logical thing i could think of, I went with a jockey name I was familiar with. I choose Willie Shoemaker ridding a horse named Ferdinand from the one hole. I look back at that derby and have many great memories especially since I won that bet that day. Good luck to all this derby and to mom I\'m still playing the ponies some good days some bad ones thank you for giving me and my brothers such wonderful memories!

This sounds like the small otb I have to use on derby day, 3 tellers long lines short tempers, lots of people betting who don\'t know what they are doing!
I Thought this problem was specific to N.C. Oklahoma.
