I\'m looking fot Dutrow to go back to back in the Suburban. Liked last race by Wild Desert  ( first under Dutrow ) and he will have him tighter for this which should mean a move up. The 1 1/4 should be to his liking as well. Invasor looks like a bounce.

Ron Ellis brings the Buzzard in for this one instead of keeping out west. He showed a fondness for the strip in the 2005 Derby. Will be close early with ground saving trip. Believe he will open up turning for home and will hold the rest off.

       CtC,

Agree with your thought. I stated in a post on Belmont day that the figures are to be thrown out because of the distance. It is just such a unique distance, IMO the Belmont at 1 1/2 miles for 3 yo is an entity all it\'s own. Very difficult to apply \"speed\" figures to it. No reason to not take the after race figures with a grain of salt as well.

At the very least you should factor in with your handicapping of their next start. Just my opinion on the Belmont in particular.

      CtC,
I like your Derby runner scenario the best but for a different reason. I think they are among the ones most likely to actually finish the 1 1/2 miles. Throw out the numbers in this race and use those who can run that far period. In no particular order:

        Bluegrass Cat
        Steppenwolfer
        Jazil
        Deputy Glitters
        Bob and John

Yeah, he got caught between a rock and a hard place. Eddie Arcaro just rolled over.

richiebee, you are correct about the starter. The new starter, Scott Jordan, had his crew load the horses but Duncan ( Bob ? ) pushed the button for the start.

I would have thought they would have at least backed Ex Caelis out of the gate to give her a look over before letting her run. She was vertical in the air and the rider just slid down her backside.

    Dana666,

In race 8 I think Atlas Valley could upset with the weight break at big odds. Will be running on late if he can get a good trip and pace.

I like the previous race of Diplomat Lady. I think she can stretch out today and run well at a price.

Flying Glitter keeps on winning. I like that and the 8-1 with Albarado.

I like the weight break for Melhor Ainda in here. Rider and trainer don\'t hurt her chances any either. Combine all the above with a another forward move and she looks like the play. I believe she will run down Sand Springs to get the nod.
