Will have to call it my second best Belmont day ever; I had multiple race
wagers ending with Birdstone in 2004.

The TG Community: I threw out Power Alert when I saw Jimmy C\'s post about
scratching PA and the updated post saying that he would indeed run. Had bet
Channel Marker in his two Ky races and could not leave him out here.

TG Analysis: Years ago, I may have looked at Untapable\'s blowout win in the
Mother Goose last year and concluded she was a horse for course; it never
would have mattered to me that she had not equaled her 3YO top. Great call by
JB basically saying that this filly was a toss. T-generate kool aid quaffers
had to be ecstatic when Johnny V immediately guided this filly to the outside.

The Channel Marker/Wedding Party DD was paying $130 when I bet it, ended up
paying $98.

The TG Community (Covel redux): Slumber is a horse I probably never would have
used given that he was winless since Saratoga 2013; since then Slumber had
burned lots of money when favored.

The day before the Belmont, Bad Luck Benny the Exercise Rider called me with a
tale of woe...his long awaited (by both of us) insurance settlement was
delayed until July, and he was tapped out. I asked him if he thought my name
was JG Wentworth, a reference which sailed over his head. I gave him some
(more) cash and a $20 win ticket on Slumber.

Was stunned by the final straight price on CM, and backup prices were ludicrous.  Too many smartasses.  Slumber, considering Chad is at the controls, was the other way around.

Wanted Original Six match in the worst way, since I consider Bolts the superior contingent, excepting their (\"relative\") lack of experience.  Expect a sustained sweat, since Bolts are jiffy-quick, and Bishop\'s better than most believe.

topcat- My brother is very tight with Phil Bauer, he helped train
 Pure Fun for us a couple years back before he went private. He has
 struggled but he told my brother the owner and some friends were
 laying the wood on channel marker. This is why the price was a little
 out of expectations. If you noticed first flash was around 3-1 I
 believe. I even got a photo (similar to WesWelker) after the score.
 I have a hard time betting big when trainer is 0-26 slump, so I
 didn\'t make a windfall on it lol
