Back to the Wood

I just watched Wood day races again.  Is it possible that the middle of track was the best part of the track for the Wood?  The 3 top place finishers were the 3 widest into the stretch.

This hypothesis seemed to be true for the 9th and 10th (Wood) races and a few other races.  However, there are also plenty of races where the inside horses did well in the stretch.  Maybe the wind dried out the inside part for a few races?  Anyone else thought about this?

Fairmount1: And if this was true, how does it affect your opinion? (Sincere question, not sarcastic)

jbelfior: The Carter doesn\'t support your theory.

Good Luck,

boston: You are correct neither the Carter or race 12 support this theory.

If the theory were true - that all 3 were helped by a bias - they become throw outs.
