Just making sure I understand this correctly.  Our Derby Hero on Beyer Figs, not TG, earned a 107 for his geared down win in the SA Derby.

But I\'m also supposed to believe that the following is also true about that race:

Friendswith K Mill--finished 7th 12 lengths back that day earning an 87.  His race before and after were both a 90 winning one race and running 5th by 2 in Derby trial.

Rprettyboyfloyd--finished 6th 10+ lengths behind and ran a new top of 89 in defeat after earning 87 and 88 in two 2nd place finishes against MSW company.

Big Tire--finished 5th 10 lengths behind earning a new top 90 after winning a msw race just prior by a nose with an 88 beyer.

Dublin Up--ffinished 4th with a New top of 92 for this maiden who earned an 88 his previous race

Hoppertunity--gets a 100 in the Rebel but only regresses to 98 when getting crushed and not trying all out against Cali Chrome.

Sorry Beyer figure guys, I think you missed the mark on that race completely.  COuld Chrome have gone faster?  Possibly.  But his actual number in that race,....I\'m not believing it.  If you liked Hoppertunity maybe you should start looking at Arkansas a little closer.

Maybe Tapiture wasn\'t worried about points in Ark Derby?  ROC ran admirably in defeat.  Danza exploded on the scene.....I was thinking like mjellish that Chrome needed an outside post to get a perfect setup.  Judging the Beyer figs from SA Derby, he will be taking a lot of money based on the figure that just doesn\'t mesh with the rest of his SA Derby field....with no comment of comparisons to other races on the day at SA or the San Felipe.  I just wanted to post why I\'m throwing out Cali Chrome altogether.  He could hit the board but I see no way for him to win from the 5 post.

Fairmount1,

Perhaps I am not getting your point.

U are pointing out that the figure every horse earned in the Santa Anita derby fits with every other recent figure they ran, both before and after that race, and that leads you to the conclusion that the figures are too fast?

Makes no sense.

If chrome loses it will have nothing to do with beyer overstating his figures.   It will be the inside post, a contested pace, and/or not liking the CD track, the way he does santa Anita

I read the whole thing and he thoroughly convinced me that California Chrome\'s number makes perfect sense?

All of the horses listed ran just slightly better or exactly what they did the previous races when getting destroyed?  Horses that get smashed don\'t run the same figure in defeat....at least not five of them in the same race.

Confused.  So you are saying all of those 3 year olds ran off races?
