At the recent speed figure seminar in Vegas, Andy Beyer discussed
his ideas on \"Supertrainers.\" In his slideshow of examples, he included
the little-known name of Philadelphia Park-based Jayne Vaders, who,
last Fall, won with 7 of her first 10 starters, and then 3 of her next 10.
That\'s 10 wins of 20 starters. with 2 seconds and 2 third place finishes!
Not bad. It should be noted that there seems to be a relationship between
Jayne Vaders and Philadelphia Park power trainer John McCaslin.

In one notorious example of DRF-listed \"trainer switches,\" Vaders
\"acquired\" R. B\'s BOY from trainer Keith Lebarron, and won with
the horse first out at 32-1, going from a 56 Beyer to a 96 Beyer.
A ThoroGraph 14 to a 5! [Beyer\'s Powerpoint slides showing the
enhanced speed figures of selected Vaders\' DRF pp\'s were
available online earlier last week.]

Vaders has been winning at a more mortal clip recently. But maybe
things are starting to perk up again as Winter turns into Spring and
the migration of wintering [horsemen and] veterinarians return to their
Northeast bases. Supertrainer enthusiasts will note that Vaders scored
again last Monday afternoon when MUGGY wired the field in Philadelphia
Park\'s first race, paying a whopping $83.60 to win! And then on Saturday,
Vader\'s HEROIC SIGHT, after another DRF-listed \"trainer switch\" to
her, won the 7th race easily, paying $12.60.

Beware.
