For what it\'s worth, I called Twinspires. They told me the accounts affected were older ones. I asked specifically how old. They said it affected accounts in existence as of 2009.

Thanks for sharing your info P-Dub and msola.

Interesting that they say 20% were affected, guess that means that 80% or their account holders have been with them less than 3 years, kind of hard to believe.

fwiw those of you who only use Twinspires for the video feed should check out DRFbets.com, best video feed and replay service I have seen for an ADW site.

I agree with metroj...DRFbets has excellent video streamimg.

No fees, just the WORST rebate schedule in the business,
AFAIK.

If I remember correctly, 10,000 points gets you $10,
with bets on CDI-owned tracks generating 2 points per
dollar wagered; all others are 1 for 1.

Their live toteboard, live video and race replays are
all free when a minimum activity level is reached. All
are decent. (Race replays can be tricky to call up at
times -- the process is not intuitive,)

Brisnet Ultimate PP\'s and a tout sheet are $3 and $5,
respectively, but if you make a wager on the track(s)
for which you have downloaded these handicapping products,
they are FREE...so, I download what I want, make a 10
cent superfecta bet for each track I am playing...and
then give my action to a place that pays a REAL rebate.

And I cold-decked a super at Hoosier that paid $450 from
one of those 10 cent bets, so I\'m ahead for life on free
handicapping stuff from Twin Spires. They can stick their
crappy rebate.

Salute the General

I must be one of the lucky ones I have had my Twinspires account since they opened for business and I did not get a letter.

Call them and ask them to check.  I didn\'t get a letter either but when I called to make sure they said my account was compromised also.

Been getting a lot of phishing emails lately asking for me to send money for help in the Middle East.  Requests for assistance due to poverty and requests to send money so that tons of money can be sent back to me.  Don\'t know if it\'s related but I have rarely gotten these before but I have gotten about 10 of them over the past week, 4 this weekend alone from different email addresses.  Just wanted to give everyone a heads up.
