Silver Charm

May be a good spot to crush this race. Odds on Fav at 6/5 is not fastest or even 2nd fastest. However did pop a good healthy number first out so will be tough.

May disclose info later that probably doesnt need to be shared but will anyway and with the Disclaimer that horses are like fruit and can spoil quickly.

Keeneland Turf Mile race was a Key Race with Zagora (next to last ) and Aruna (last) as next out winners. CD Mile Turf race was also as Proctor horse who went Fav\'ed that day shipped to Canada and Won!!

Silver,

We rarely agree on things (no offense), but I agree with your assessment of the race.  Betting AGAINST Winter Memories is very appealing to me.  No speed in the race, Tapitsfly on the rail, with Ramon, with tactical speed, already faster than Winter Memories and likely 3x the price (3-1 versus even money).

I might start the pick-4 with a \"stand\" of Tapitsfly and a \"toss\' of Winter Memories.  (perhaps a saver with Hungry Island)

Silver Charm

Please Jimbo after Smarty lost the Belmont, I hugged and consoled you and now this....

The Gulfstream race they got Tapits to sit off the pace a little more than her usual \"stalk the front runner\' style. They were confident at Keeneland next time out tried the same newborn style and so what happens? The pace crawled that day. NO one closed. Let that be lesson that even when people \"like\" their horses....stuff happens.

Derby Day I visit the paddock before the race and just exchange casual hello\'s. I do then visit a friend whose hubby trains Hungry Island. They thought they had to beat Proctors horse. We laughed about the above story saying \"isnt that it always seems to work\".

Hungry Island ran like a champ that day. Tapits was first time Ramon who picked up the mount when Albarado was jailed that weekend. He may have moved a hair early being wrried the same thing as Keeneland might happen again. I am sure they told him dont let Daisy Devine get away from us again.....

That was a nice Exacta. Might be another one again come Saturday.....

Silver,

You definitely have me confused with somebody else.  I needed no consoling after Smarty lost.  I bet against him in the Derby and Preakness and while I did get tired of \"banging my head against the wall\" and didn\'t bet against him in the Belmont, I wasn\'t a big fan.  Real Quiet and Silver Charm, I did need consoling after those losses.

I do NOT believe this is the race to take Tapitsfly back off the pace.  He has a tactical edge against Winter Memories and Hungry Island and MAYBE one speed horse in Wallis.  Ramon should leave for position and get the jump on the closers.  Period.  IMHO.

Once again, as Jimbo points out, the admittedly brilliant WM will likely go
off at her 6/5 morning line while not having a TG edge on some of her
competition. The biggest drawback about totally eliminating WM from the P4
ticket is her 4/4 lifetime record on Belmont grass courses, 2/2 on the Widener.

The biggest problem Ramon might have if he sends is Wallis (Clement). She was
rank on the lead in her January Gulf start and had a very quick 5 furlong
breeze around the dogs last Sunday.

Hungry Island is oh so logical, having already beaten Tapitsfly and WM. I\'ll
throw in Dancinginherdreams, who is 12/1, goes third time turf, second time
Mott.

I think the true chance for chaos is in the Woody Stephens. Hierro is 5/2 ML
and Trinniberg is 7/2 ML. There are no less than 6 runners in here who have
run faster than Trinni. Every horse in the race has run faster than Hierro. My
opinion is that it might take Trinniberg 2 or 3 races to recover from his
Derby misadventure.I am going to toss the two favorites and hope Hierro
doesn\'t blow by in the lane.

Hey Richie, I am thinking Power World is a whole new horse this year.  Like that race a lot.  Bringing your cooler up to the Spa?  Not too long a wait now!

richiebee

PW jumped up nicely in his first start for HOW (plus)/HOF trainer Bill Mott.
Also like Isn\'t He Clever, who had a very impressive sprint at Sunland before
they put him on the Derby trail. Goes first time for Asmussen here, same 8/1
ML as Power World.

The cooler will be up at the Spa for Jim Dandy/Diana weekend. Am I looking
forward to it? Does the Pope wear a funny hat?

*thumbs up*

Took a stand against WM and got the pins set up for a P4 Bonanza.

richiebee

Good call, Jim.

Need some chaos in the Woody now...

Silver Charm

Say what? He stole my Analysis...

Seriously nice call... I used the winner and Hungry in my Pk4 and then hammered the Winner to Win. TV talking about shipping Tapits to NY for a Grade 1. You need to know the Owner. He got 3 times the price he would gotten last Sat Nite at CD and 10 times the Pool Size to SEND EVERYTHING in on.....

Hope people.made some.money. And damn glad I got to see it after almost jumping off my 5th floor balcony after Justin Phillips beat at 13-1....

The funniest thing Richie is that we all lost to the sharp bettors who were on Trinniberg at 5-2. They win, we lose. I kinda think i destroy the race if it comes in 9-3-2 but why would a horse like that \'go away\' in the stretch.

Ugh.

richiebee

Il Villano was supposed to be pressing, never really got in the fray.

Good job by NBC. TVG can\'t show the race, NBC doesn\'t show it, had to watch on
the small screen.

plasticman

And of course, i pick a 14 dollar winner that i single on a bunch of pick 4s but they\'re all on the floor because of Trinniberg.

You\'re right, that grey piece was supposed to be out there pressing.
