Couple of interesting lines and numbers in this one.

Casino Host picks up 11 lbs and drew wide. Ran a three point New Top in last which considering the other factors might still not be enough. Cant play him back this time.

Smart Bid with local connections looks to take money and appears off last yrs form.

Air Support needed last, training well needs a little better for 2nd start of 4YO campaign.

Hudson Street, also entered at the Shore. Short rest off interesting #. Inside post with a recent win over the course.

Trend son off the late late developers Sligo Bay might jump again and forget to run 2nd for the 9th time in 15 starts and actually win....

No 7/5 favs in this Field

Silver, Don\'t leave out Straight Story, unless he has front wraps back on.  Can wire this field and be a decent price.
In the eighth Bandbox is razor sharp.

You might have landed on the most interesting race of the day.  I just think that Hudson Steele might go off longer than 5/1 and at those odds how can I refuse.  Playing some pick 3\'s today with the chalks in the Freakness.

With that big one last out, TAP at the controls, and the post, still expect Hudson Steele to come favored, so I\'ll try to beat him.   Smart Bid has some great numbers over firm
going, but Prado is no longer an unalloyed asset.

I agree a lot of interesting lines in this race. I will not be using bodie and my pick 3. Someone is going to run him down.

In the Dixie, will include Forte dei Marmi for Attfield/Mikey. Think he will
appreciate the stretch out

Silver, your man D Wayne is all over the undercard. In the 8th, Md Sprint
Handicap, Hamazing Destiny is program favorite (7/2) off a slight class drop,
but has not won in 2 years and is arguably no faster than others in here.
Tossing DWL\'s HD and spreading in the horizontals.

In the 9th, the James Murphy, D Wayne, not known as a turf trainer, finally
tries English Channel\'s son Skyring on the lawn off a big new dirt top.
Nakatani jumps off Skyring to ride Hammer\'s Terror for top turf trainer
Stidham. Also trying turf first time off a big new dirt top is Mr Handsome, by
Rock Hard Ten.

In the Allaire Dupont, most of the money will go for Baffert (Awesomemundo)
and Lukas (Absinthe Minded). The only runner in the field with a Pimlico win
is Strike the Moon, who needs to get back to a TG number she ran at Pimlico 13
months ago to be competitive, but will pay a big price if she does.

Thing I am most certain of: After Optimizer finishes a non threatening fifth or
sixth in the Preakness, D Wayne will be heard to say that Ky Derby and
Preakness were just preps for the Belmont.

Ritchie you are brutal.

The only thing worse was Derby Day when I rolled into the Turf Club after getting thru the Pinkerton Gestpo and I ran into D Wayne who said, \"we won the 3rd (Skyring) and paid $30, where were you\".

I will say this for those who are so consistently upset with his presence on these Big Days. I do beieve at this point in his life he just happy to be there. The days of marching like Alexander the Great and crushing the Competition are LONG GONE. Seeing your friends including rival trainers, having two 35YO blondes ate your two top table all day for Oaks and Derby and making Bets and Jokes seems to be more the M-O now than Just Win Baby.

I really get the feeling he is \"Just Happy to be There\"

This is why we pay for the #\'s. One lb in weight inside stalking post and fastest last Fig. Bounce on short rest....always possible but too many positives for a runner who looked like he was right for right now.

Michael D.

regarding the top 2 - a very useful speed figure there.

No argument.   3-1 was square.
