Hansen\'s the champ, but he probably could not have fallen into a tougher spot to debut as a 3yo.  He\'s the likely winner, but he has to run at his best at least to beat the two Bernardinis, who are improving.  And there won\'t be a breather for him in this one.  He\'s got to go all out all the way against this small crowd.

I lean towards Consortium who lost his last, but improved a great deal with the limited experience.  The horse also gets Velazquez and will be near the rail the whole way.  Another jump puts him ahead of TAP\'s who will also get bet more heavily, thank you.  In fact, I think he\'s likely not to be fully cranked for this (based upon my belief that TAP looks a lot further down the road with his good ones these days.)

The stumble at the start didn\'t help, and who knows what to make of the track condition (wet and sealed).  But, if the race goes another 1/16th, Hansen finishes 4th.  Algorithims is as impressive looking a specimen as I\'ve seen in a paddock.

Hansen did stumble and was too fresh but put an early fork in him, 10f seems out of his reach.Common performance, may end up with a baby top slaving off the winner.

Winner ok enough but Pletcher\'s horses all running their usual insane Gulfstream tops.

Was somewhat impressed with My Adonis.  Made up 5 lengths on the leader through the last quarter.

AJ,

Wonder if he\'s a wet track horse. His top came on a wet track similar to yesterdays. Kelly Breen seems to get into a fair amount of big races considering the stock he has to work with.

Indeed.  What is interesting is that they\'ve been running him as a horse that needs to be on or near the lead - in his last five, never more than 2 lengths from the front at any call through 6F.  Here he comes from the clouds.

My Adonis turned left coming out of the gate into Consortium.Trujillo gets him straight and then it appears Hansen comes over and hip checks him.

Probably was gonna be sent based on his short fast works. Now at least we know he\'s versatile.Interested to see how he does on a fast strip.

They just raised Algorithms Beyer from 98 to 105.  So Hansen now on 96.  That\'s an awfully big raise (7 points).  I wonder what the issue was?  I notice they did not raise the 2 turn race (El Padrino still on 100).  So maybe a 1 turn vs 2 turn issue?  Strange.

DRF says the reason was the belief that the timing system wasn\'t working properly, which by now should be the default position for races at GP (good God, how hard can this be?!)

Trakus has the race at 1:35.09, instead of 1:36.17.  I tried to hand time it from the video, and the original time looks pretty close to right, though I didn\'t take run-up into account.

The track went fast to good to sloppy/sealed with rain on and off all day, with track speed all over the place, the teletimer wasn\'t the problem. The race came up very easy to do, with the first three all running within half a point either way of their tops.

The Filly in the race before was Monsterous.

Just heard on radio that for the 8f 1 turn at Gulfstream there is no run up.  So whatever you hand time out to be pretty close, gate to wire.
