drbillym: Perfect draw for Shack, will keep him out of any gate trouble and may help his odds as some might feel the outside post is a disadvantage.  Everyone is doubting his ability to go the distance, largely cuz Forestry is a miler.  But am I wrong that it is the Dam and the Dam sire that has the greater influence on distance?  Lauren Stich (Pedigree handicapper) sees it that way. And having Unbridled underneath solves that issue.  I will be thrilled if I get he M/L odds of 9/2.  Castanon is underrated but has ridden him well in all his races.

 Lauren Stich believes that distance and surface preferences come from the males in the pedigree.
