If you\'d had told me California Flag would be taken back and rally 3 wide and win yesterday, I wouldn\'t have believed it. That was either a great ride or a horrible ride - I\'m not sure which. One thing for sure, Smith always makes you sweat for your money, and he sure hates the rail! He went to the Alex Solis school of riding - take everything wide and stay out of trouble. Usually works if you\'ve got the best horse. \"Frequently Odds on and Always an Adventure\" should be his bumper sticker! Still, he did win the race, so like I said, maybe he gave \'Flag a whole new dimension. He got one of the fastest thoroughbreds in the world to slow down! Smith does know where the wire is - I\'ll give the Hall of Famer that! Like my friend at the track said yesterday \"Don\'t you know? He did that on purpose!\"

I thought that the Doug O\'Neil horse, Quick Enough was much the best, he was stymied
entering the gap and never got a clear path until late.  If Quick Enough had gotten thru, he had first jump and would have been hard to run down.  It sure seems that this barn\'s runners should not be left out or overlooked...they are all running, especially new acquisitions.
