Outstanding work by TGJB yesterday in a succinct 35 minute session.  Sorry the golf was bad Jerry, but the handicapping was long and down the middle of the fairway with a chip-in or two.  If anyone at todays seminar has a chance to post TGJB\'s highlights it would be appreciated.  Unfortunately on my way home at 0-dark hundred.   Good punting to all today.

A very quick seminar focusing on only 6 races in depth and too bad it was not attended by more. The bold statement of Pagan Ruler being 7 or 8/5 in the second race as the best bet of the day sent the group to the windows and calling their friends. A mutual of $ 18.40 and a logical double with Pletcher in the first returned $ 130.00 and last weekends o-fer was quickly erased !!!!

It\'s a shame we could not take down the pick 4 with such a single to start with I blew the second leg and JB the third. Personally disgruntling to have 3 double digit winners and not use Linda Rice at 7/2 in the second leg. If Magnificent Tiger hangs on to the lead in the third I\'m looking at a 15 k plus pick 4. Oh well we took a shot.

The fifth race was nailed cold by JB again with an amendment. He gave out the 4,3,6 in the seminar and took a stand against the 9. After the first race he started telling all that were around that he made an error omitting the 9 who went off as a 3/2 favorite. Most got the message and the 6,9,3,4 came back at $ 357.00 and $ 1,250.00 for the tri and super.

In the seventh I informed JB of covel\'s Mott post that I caught right before I left the house. The 8 & 10 were given out in the seminar and our bug boy Frederic  Lenclud who got us the money in the 2nd made a huge stretch run from last to get up for third. A close but non-cashing 1st and 3rd exacta.

A solid opinion on Buckleupbuttercup was given out in the Test as the 2nd best play of the day as well as a watch out for Baffert\'s Bonnie Blue Flag. I stood with Bobby G. at the rail for the post parade and Buttercup looked like a million dollars unfortunately so did the 3 and 4. Buttercup had a perfect trip but did not fire and the 3,4 exacta came back at $ 74.00. I saw Bobby running to the windows as I didn\'t have it !

The Whitney all were wondering if QR could possibly lose ? The stand was against Blame & Musket Man off their recent top\'s and the play was QR over Mine that Bird & Haynesfield. We know that result. Money was lost but in reality we gave up an $ 18.00 exacta and $ 37.00 tri. It would have been a $5.00 exacta with QR on top.

My days of betting a delicatessen to win a pickle have been gone for a long time. Many ask why I\'m leaning towards a bounce 90 % of the time off big efforts ? What are you giving up ? A short priced horse with great risk and little reward is not for me I\'d rather take a shot and re-load for the next one.

The last race had a solid JB opinion against the 10, Linda Rice\'s 6/5 morning line favorite. Few who have spent anytime reading sheets could argue. Outside at a mile on the grass, other horses as fast or faster, bad pace scenario.

JB\'s bold quote \"if the 10 is 1st I\'m not cashing, if he\'s 2nd I\'m not cashing, if he\'s 3rd I\'m still probably not cashing \" We did not cash but ran 2nd thru 5th with the seminar horses. Oh well the 10 was a monster outside, running eyeball to eyeball through a 46 half and she had plenty left in the stretch.

A profitable day that was a lot more profitable after the 5th race ! A beautiful day with a nice breeze, 36,000 fans at a race track, Steve Byk\'s good barbecue, some more new friends, great handicapping discussions and opinions traded all day it doesn\'t get much better.

Let\'s hope the weather stays nice and TGAB comes up next weekend with a square price or 2 and the fun and camaraderie continues.
