Is Blind Luck starting to remind anyone else of Stardom Bound?

The sheet numbers and pattern look pretty similar and the way that Blind Luck barely got there yesterday against slower horses is very similar to Stardom Bound last year at this time.

I know its not that unusual for outstanding 2 year old fillies to not go on as three year olds, matter of fact, it\'s the exception when the top 2 year old fillies do make big strides as three year olds.  I am thinking about halfbridled, stardom bound, dreaming of anna, folklore, etc in recent years.

I had thought after the way that Blind Luck seemed to explode in her race before yesterday that she was going to be the exception but yesterday\'s dull performance makes me think she is vulnerable from here on like SB was last year.

i dunno about discrediting her just yet.. she cut in distance and those fractions were pretty slow.. lets see how she comes out next time.. they are pointing her to the santa anita oaks and she will be going longer

I don\'t mean to be too harsh on her, she\'s clearly a really really nice filly, it\'s just that I am starting to doubt that she\'s the world beater that everyone was making her out to be a few months ago.

i agree.. conditions that day allowed her explode forward and also make that Starlet race a little deceiving.  the two fastest horses in the race (from what i remember) bounced the race prior and blind luck was the 3rd fastest in the race and was improving in small steps.  the race also went pretty fast and she had a chance to just sit, wait, and take off in the stretch
