I never remember the pick 4 in NY paying out 3 of 4 ?

Anyway I configured a pick 4 ticket today that I\'ll admit was a bit of a reach.
Aqueduct 6-9  2,4,5,10/6/1,2,5/1,6,8,9 = $ 48.00

We all like trips better than pairs so why not quads ? Hudson Heights in the 6th had 16,17,17,17 in his last 4. He started as a 2 yr. old with 20,17 so he\'s never had that breakout. the race was horrible, the 10 was even money and nothing else in the race figured to run better than a 11 or 12.

 So I used him in a bad race and made a 4 horse tri box for $1.00 and bet $4.00 exactas 2,4 over 5,10 and 5,10 over 2,4. Made some doubles and pick 3\'s singling William Thomas in the 7th. I thought he could pair his 5 like he did with his back 4\'s after his last rest. I was wrong !!!

But a $ 768.00 exacta twice, $ 2,100.00 tri for a buck and half of a $ 2,600.00 pick 3 out of 4 ain\'t a bad day.

The power of numbers and 2 1/2 hours of handicapping pays off once again.
