HOW DO YOU ALL RUN OUT OF THROGRAPH SHEETS???

Could someone please explain how the hell you run out of T-G sheets for Del Mar at the Meadowlands? The premier race meeting at a major simulcast outlet??? Don\'t you all send more for big meets - it\'s not the same as freaking Penn Nat. I get there at 4 pm today and there are no more sheets for Del Mar??? WTF???

Yeah, I\'m miffed b/c this pick 6 today was super EZ for 16K with a smallish ticket. So I look at my friends RAGS (hint- friends don\'t let friends look at Ragozin sheets!) In the 8th race RAGS have Itsnotjustagame going backwards in his last start. Now, I looked at replays (see my earlier post), and I know the horse ran a huge new top in his last (if the dude making the numbers is conscious) but that places a little doubt in my mind, and I wind up not singling him and leaving out the Unusual Heat horse in the 7th (which I try never to do at del Mar). I\'d be real curious to see the Redboard room, but I wager anything T-G\'s didn\'t have him going backwards. What a freaking disaster. The people making these Ragozin numbers have completely lost touch with any reality. Just watch the replays of Itsnojustagame\'s last 2 races and tell me if you think he moved forward or backward in his race prior to today.

Jerry, I\'m finally 100% sold on your product (after years of losing more then I\'d ever want to admit w/RAGS), help me out here, huh? You should NEVER run out of the product an hour before the first race on a weekday, not for Del Mar! I\'m in the VIP room and there\'s only one other guy w/T-G sheets, so where the hell did the other copies go? Were they not sent? This stuff is important to some of us - this isn\'t a casual hobby for me and I got slammed today for no good reason.

Of course, his line look\'s so much better on T-G\'s. They still didn\'t get his last race right, but it looked 100X better than the ugly line he had on Ragozin\'s. I\'m a complete idiot any way you examine the situation. Today\'s another day, I guess.

i bought mine on line for no good reason    seems like being prepared is.  next time look for eddie  he always has them and sits far away from th\" VIP\" room

Dana,

Yes, it would seem the Rags guys got that race wrong.  Not sure about the \'easy pick 6\" using TG though.

As I often do when playing the Poly, I bought the Analysis with the sheets and since whoever authored didn\'t hit a single race in the pick 6 sequence, or come that close, I would say that it wasn\'t an \"easy pick 6\" for TG users (not that there is any such thing as an \"easy pick 6\".

That just a game horse was bet off the board way moreso than his \'beyer figs\' suggested he would be. I was really stunned that he was 6-5 and kept getting bet like the entire world knew he was live. Then, he runs off by 10 after chasing a fast pace. I thought he was bad value at that low price, but the inside money knew best.

Lost Cause

The meadowlands tends to be one of the friendliest facilities for bettors.  There are a couple of Internet computers you can use that are never busy in the teletheatre and if you go to the customer service room and explain that you want to print some stuff out they will oblige.
Sorry to hear about that..

HP

I think LOST CAUSE is right Dana.  If you are in that VIP room I would think they would help you out in a pinch.  Also, I think so many TG customers buy the day before.  I think \"day of\" is a bit of a risk.  HP

Dana-- when Alan gets in I will find out what happened, but keep in mind we\'re never going to send an infinite number of sets. We take a look at recent sales for the day of the week at that location, and send a few extra. If it turns out someone did something stupid I\'m going to want to know why.

I agree with buying the day before if you know you will be playing. And this goes for everybody-- if we are sold out and you get turned away, shoot me or Alan an email.  We want to know about it. If we send 10 and show 10 sales, we don\'t know if 10 people wanted them, or 15.

You can tell who ran a top by watching replays??? And, \"play all Unusual Heats at Del Mar\" is about the only way to come up with the one in the seventh. I can\'t play a big enough ticket to get to that horse.

69th st in Brooklyn is ALWAYS sold out if there is a decent carryover, problem is the delivery is made the day before. Can\'t predict carryovers and send extras.I pay a $6.00 toll and still get shut out for hard copy, often enough.

\"If we send 10 and show 10 sales, we don\'t know if 10 people wanted them, or 15.\"

Indeed! Here in the newspaper biz we don\'t want sellouts, because, then, who knows what the demand really was? A perfect day would be one paper left at every sales location.

TGJB

Mike-- we can always send more day of racing with the next day sheets if we know about it. We tell the vendors to let us know if they run out or run low, they usually don\'t. You might get into them a little bit.

I had a good opinion in a few races, what screwed me up was using two horses in he 8th. I had 3X3X2X2(needed to add one)X2(should have singled)X1.

Dana666

I never asked them to print anything at the BIG M. They\'ve printed stiff out for me a Monmouth a million times.

Dana666

I understand it probably costs a lot to print those things out and no one wants to waste any resource these days. I used to print them out at work, but it costs something insane like 6 cents a copy where I work, so I can\'t do that. I will post whenever I get shut out, so you guys can judge. Hopefully, I won\'t be as insane as I was last night. Itsnotjustagame\'s first race a Del Mar seemed so much better (visually) than any race he had ever run before, plus now he had the rail in a 3 turn race which I like. He seemed a no-brainer to me in the am, though as I said the RAG line planted some doubt. As far as unusual heats, I never like to leave them out no matter what they look like b/c they seem to love Del Mar. It would have been lucky, that\'s all.
