Mott and Clement

Probably need a few more days like today to fully appreciate these two guys.

Clement won the Bev D last year and now the Million with Gio Ponte who is on a Manilla type roll.

Mott who is in the HOF never needs an introduction but occasionally gives everybody! Like today, a friendly reminder.

They will never win the Derby but have the respect of their peers, the industry and the diehard fans.

You will still have these young guys (Mott 55, Clement 45) to kick around for a
while.

Another young non-Derby winner, Todd Pletcher, won the Secretariat with Take The
Points. This was TTP\'s first turf win after 2 races against Battle of Hastings at
Colonial. I thought TTP would be between 4/1 - 6/1 in this heat, liked him, but
got stubborn and didn\'t bet at 5/2.

Pletcher also won the G2 Honorable Miss with Game Face, who was winning her 4th
graded stake of 09. GF has made all 14 of her lifetime starts on dirt, so here is
another top runner not likely to factor in the BC at Synthetic Anita.

As to Gio Ponti, will wait until he beats top tier Euros before annointing him.
