Delaware race 6. 1 1/16T MSW38k

5-2ML favorite in a field of 10. He breaks from the 9 post. Blinkers ON.

Too easy. Won by at least 10 wire to wire.

You gotta be pulling for this horse.

Maybe he found a surface.

BloodHorse has a video of the most current, 2009 model Dynaformer-La Ville Rouge foal - nice looking, big colt (looks Dynaformer)  I like this one better than I did Nicanor.   Seems a real self-confident, arrogant racehorse sort.

covelj70

went very wide on the first turn so he might have gotten a number in this race even though the time was moderate.

totally agree, have to be pulling for this horse

Yeah, just what the game needs, another overhyped artificial star who will
never go off at decent odds and will be retired when evidencing the slightest
inflammation.

Silver Charm probably already has a future bet down on this one for the BC Turf
Classic and Turf Mile.

Silver and Covel: I love you guys, because you love the Game. I am going to
insult both of you and assume that you are somewhere around my age (54); I
apologize if you are younger.

If RA runs brilliantly Saturday (and I will be taking a position against this)
please do not be quick to break out the diamond studded tiara and the
annointing oils. Please do not throw the word \"freak\" around. She will merely
have taken her position as this years version of the fastest horse ever.

Before conducting any equine coronations, familiarize yourself with the
curriculum vitae of 3 runners from the \"Decade of Champions\": Secretariat,
Forego and Spectacular Bid. Brilliantly fast horses who carried weight and
didn\'t miss many dances.

Secretariat would unquestionably be considered the greatest horse ever
if allowed to campaign as a 4YO; he arguably set 5 track records, 2 of which
were world records, as a 3YO.

Spectacular Bid\'s 4YO campaign was arguably one of the best years any runner
ever had -- four track records, between 7f and 1-1/4 miles. I think his 1-1/4
mile record is still the fastest ever run on dirt; his Santa Anita 7 furlongs
in 1:20 was still standing when they plowed the SA main track under and
installed the mattress. All of his track records were set carrying between 126
and 132 pounds.

Forego won what, 6 Eclipse Awards? on ankles which belonged in an ice tub at
Penn National or Finger Lakes.

Demand Greatness before supplicating; though admittedly the economics of the
Sport today, the dilution of the breed and the paucity of real horseman among
the ranks of owners and trainers makes it unlikely we will ever witness true
immortality again.

Ritchie I turned much younger than you yesterday but thanks for the insult anyway.

RA does not have to be a Bid or Big Red. She can be a Ruffian or Shuvee and still be smokin hot lookin in my book.

In modern day racing its crazy to bet futures because there is no future. The future is NOW.

But is Nicanor the second coming of Lure? I sure hope.

And Dunkirk don\'t give up on him either. How stupid were we to think he was the Curlin or Big Brown when he was\'t on stinkin Steroids.

And look out for his little Bro. After exchanging pleasantrys with an old college pal and his brother at Derby he said he he had Dunkirks younger half-brother. I asked who was the sire and he said \"Ghostzapper\".My pals brother said what is that a Sprinter, Turf or Distance sire?

We both looked at each other and said \"Whatever he wanted to be\".........

Richie,

Given my day job, that doesn\'t even count as an insult, you will have to do much better than that :)

I am a pup as Jerry knows.  I have watched every replay there is to watch and read every book there is to read about the greats but unfortunately, I wasn\'t there live to watch them.  Hopefully I am around long enough to see the game come back around to being great again as I think these things run in cycles.

This 3 year old crop of colts has been killed by injuries so even if she wins by 10 (which I think she will), it isn\'t saying too much because I don\'t think there\'s another great one in here (ala RTR beating Curlin in the Belmont).  I have to trust my eyes and the numbers about how different she is than anything I have seen in the last 10 years.

Should be alot of fun and since I can\'t bet that much on such a heavy fav by my own rules, I just get to enjoy this one and she if she\'s as special as I think she is.

Great luck!
