I am not there myself until next week but here is what I got from a very reliable eye on the backstretch this AM

Best work of the day - Pioneer of the Nile.  Seems to be getting over this surface well although the time wasn\'t that fast.  Did it by himself and easy.

Worst work of the day - Chocolate Candy.  Seems to have a very tough time getting over the surface

So so work - I Want Revenge.  Got past Gato Go Win but it wasn\'t easy.  Not terrible but not overly impressive either.  Time wasn\'t that fast, especially considering he worked in company.

Weak work from Flying Private if this is even relevant.

Best work at Churchill so far according to this friend (who has an unreal eye) was Desert Party over the weekend.  He is also impressed with Regal Ransom.

For what it\'s worth....figured I would pass along

I Want Revenge Posts Derby Workout
By Ryan Conley Bloodhorse

I Want Revenge was one of five horses posting workouts April 21 at Churchill Downs in preparation for the May 2 Kentucky Derby Presented by Yum! Brands (gr. I), completing five furlongs on a slightly-off track in 1:01 3/5. The time was eighth-fastest among 19 horses working the distance.

The son of Stephen Got Even, who was ridden by regular jockey Joe Talamo, began his work two lengths behind stablemate Gato Go Win, and finished a neck ahead, galloping out six furlongs in 1:15 2/5. I Want Revenge's earlier splits were :12 2/5, :25, and :37.

Jeff Mullins, who trains the Wood Memorial (gr. I) winner, called the workout a good one.

"The track was a little mushy this morning," he said. "I think our horse got plenty out of it. He galloped out good and strong. Joe said he handled the track pretty well. I think we are in pretty good shape."

Talamo, who has ridden I Want Revenge in his last six starts, said the colt handled the Churchill oval well, despite an off-track compromised by heavy rain on Sunday and Monday.

"He had a good little target out there," Talamo said of Gato Go Win. "He sat right behind ... he did pretty much what he does all of the time. He always gallops out really good."

Four other Derby contenders also posted works:

--Pioneerof the Nile went five furlongs in 1:00 4/5, galloping out in 1:13 2/5

--Chocolate Candy went a mile in 1:42, galloping out in 1:57

--Flying Private went five furlongs in 1:01 1/5, galloping out in 1:16;

--Flat Out went five furlongs in 1:03 1/5.
