Based on all the enthusiastic responses we received last week, We\'ve once again decided to give everyone out there the benefit of my expert Kempton picks.  Eat your heart out, John McKittrick.  (He\'s actually a pretty nice guy.  I sat with him and had a nice chat at Gulfstream Park a couple of years ago, commiserating  how Stronach had completely ruined the place.)

Race 1
[/u]
Ravi River    7/5
Carnivore     5/2
Landuci       6/1
Rubenstar     use in third for tri\'s

I think Carnivore will end up being the play at the odds, but this short Field race is best skipped.

Race 2
Respite          5/2
Kasaa Ed         4/1
Breach of Peace  6/1
Novastasia       8/1
Songful          12/1
Love in the Park 16/1
Zars Gold        16/1
Bari Bay         ITM
Taste of Honey   ITM

Respite will be the favorite here, based on running 2nd to a stakes placed filly last year in her only start.  I\'m going to make a play with Kasaa Ed if I can get 4/1.

Race 3

Pegasus Again     5/2
Marajaa           7/2
Bahiano           9/2
Flying Squad      6/1
Hallingdal        12/1
Obezyana          15/1
Cross the Line    TRY TO BEAT!

This race is probably the best betting race on the card because I think CtL will bounce and I think he\'ll be a relatively short price.  Although my odds line will dictate how I play, I\'m thinking Flying Squad will go off at much better than 6/1, so that\'s who I\'ll be looking to play.

Race 4

Cecily         3/1
Creshendo      7/2
Mary Mason     4/1
Happy Forever  5/1
Comadoir       6/1

This one\'s wide open, so I\'ll let my odds line dictate the play.

Race 5

Kavaloti         3/1
Mexican Pete     7/2
Eastwell Smiles  9/2
August John      6/1
Irish Ballad     8/1
Little Carmela   18/1

I think Eastwell Smiles will be the value here.  Need 9/2, however.

Race 6
Kachanski         7/2
Mekong Miss       4/1
Good Buy Dubai    6/1
Spring Quartet    8/1
Alittlemoreflair  10/1
Tae Kwon Do       12/1
Wahan             15/1
Screaming Brave   20/1

Mekong Miss ran 2nd last week at 16/1.  Won\'t get that price on her today.  Let the oddsline dictate the play.

The betting pools are tiny. How do you bet the place?

dodie

I bet through twinspires, so I imagine they have a US pool with whatever other places take the place.  I\'m also much closer to a minnow than a whale, (especially betting a track I know nothing about, except the FREE TG numbers) so I can\'t say I noticed the small pools last wednesday.  I\'ll take a look tomorrow and report back.
