Uncle Buck

I\'m personally tipping my hat to these guys and Dutrow. They went abroad this spring with Benny the Bull, they gave us a great season of intrigue with Big Brown and now they\'re shipping Kip DeVille to Hong Kong to give us a rooting interest in a big international race in the Hong Kong Mile. They deserve credit for their willingness to run their steeds in the big events and pump some life into the game! Good luck Kipster!

Buck,

I concur with your thoughts on Kip and the others.

I also wanted to point out that I own part of a horse with them and even though the horse didn\'t live up to expectations, they were nothing short of tremendously professional in their dealings with me.

They own a majority share of the horse so it was their right to call all of the shots but they always consulted with me about where to run her, when to retire her and ultimately to whom to breed her.

I have made my feelings about Dutrow and Ivaronne very public here and I still feel that way but the business people who manage the behind the scenes operations for these guys are class acts.

In an ironic twist of fate, the mare is going to be breed to Big Brown.  So, after all of that time I spent rooting against him this spring, now I am his biggest fan in the breeding shed.  Funny twist.

What was it about Big Brown that made you want to breed to him?Just curious...
We keep our mares at Three Chimneys, but none are going to him.  Have 2 going to Dynaformer though, and at least one to Exchange Rate.

Big Brown is an outstanding specimen (if you squint whilst looking at his feet) :)

trust me, I would prefer Dynaformer 7 days a week and twice on Sunday.

The price was right on Big Brown which is relevant in this environment and candidly, we are breeding this filly to sell the babies and she\'s a grade 1 winner and I think a grade 1 winner bred to a classic winner will sell well at the yearling sales (at least to the extent things still sell at all).

She\'s also small framed so we needed a stallion with some bone and he fits the bill there as well.

The feet thing scares the life out of me though, I am with you there.

Good luck with your mares.

They have had some nice horses but are far from honorable people.

As far as a sydicate goes give me Team Valor any day of the week
