what the hell ... The Schuylerville

1 Ocean Colors - fastest filly looks very solid here.

3 Collegiate - well bred half to negative \'3\' sprinter The Student a strong contender if rated properly.

5 Chartreux - half to smart back-running sprinter Josh\'s Madelyn. \'10\' first out while wide and green, expecting better with the extra furlong and six weeks prep. odds will be long with Hill up.

11 Jardin - from the Outofthebox family. bred for the slop. \'10\' first out jogging. dangerous, but outside post might be too much to overcome with some fast ones inside. reluctant toss.

use the 1-3-5, hope the 5 sneaks in at a price.

marcus: tricky race - cameron crazies off-track sire profile looks pretty strong imo - she seems to have a good outside chance on the slop ...

covelj70: great call on Cameron Crazies, hope you keyed her.

covelj70: hopefully changed your mind on the toss at the last second?

good thought process nonetheless.  nice work

nope. no 11\'s on top.

Valid Appeal blood is deadly over this type of surface.

nice call by Marcus though. a fine 2nd @ 22-1.

marcus: i didn\'t play anything today , was cleaning my apt instead + couldn\'t find my umbrella ...
the winning trainer\'s 24 % win for off-tracks wasn\'t too shabby but the sire profile tgi for off-tracks was slower than on either dirt or turf . micheal d\'s take on the race looked about right .

dude, that\'s been true for so long I figured EVERYONE would know it by now.

 Guess not.

Michael D.: breeding played a role here, but it looks as though the surface was largely responsible for the very unpredictable outcome. the 6-5 and 5-2 faves ran along the inside and finished last and fourth respectively, while the outside horses made up the tri at 12, 22, and 15-1.

a lot of talk around the track this morning about the dead rail.

fkach: I made the rail dead also.
