After not observing Pyro on the racetrack the previous two mornings, it was good to see the Louisiana Derby out for an easy, one\\-mile gallop at 6:15 a.m., during which he showed no visible effects from either his disappointing performance in the Blue Grass Stakes or last weekend\'s workout at Keeneland. He was followed about an hour later by stablemate Z Fortune, who made an awesome physical appearance on the racetrack while galloping a slow mile after visiting the starting gate. Trainer Steve Asmussen also had another noteworthy member of his barn out for a routine gallop this morning, the reigning Horse of the Year and recent Dubai World Cup winner Curlin, who looked every part the champion he is.
