From your Dreaming of Anna posts, you appear to be close to the Calabrese/Catalano connections. I really like the running style of Lewis Michael and how that translates well to the MP configurations.Do you have any information you could share on this horse? How did he come out of the California race? Have they been pointing towards this race? How do you think he will like the MP surface? Any info appreciated. Thanks

How bout this little tidbit, My cousin, who lives in Eaton Town, is the groom for Park Avenue Ball in the same race. It\'s pretty obvious to all, that the connections have been pointing to this race for two years, (since MP was announced). The horse is sound and fit. Jersey Joe is ready to go. Obvious house Horse. Not much more I can say.

As for the Catalano conncection, all I know is they ended up firing the Jockey from the last race because of the way he road the horse. Talamo worked him in Cali and begged to ride him. Now he has his chance. I\'ll know more when I\'m in Jersey.

Without endorsing him as a winner, how about Gottcha Gold as a hometown horse.

He is 5/8 at Monmouth. His father won the Haskell I think.

Quite surprisingly after he beat Lawyer Ron in the Salvator Mile in June, and
after Lawyer Ron ran his huge Whitney, GG came back at 15/1 and won the Iselin.

Sadly, with 22 starts at the end of his 4YO year, this guy qualifies as an Iron
Horse. But the way he has jumped up in his last 2 races there must be something
which changed recently in his training or equipment.

Can anyone confirm that there are 3 overnight DDs? I am sure about FM
Sprint/Sprint and Mile/Mile. Also Juvie Turf/ Juvies?

On 2 dd\'s from Friday, no Juv turf, too bad, I can\'t see makers horse losing

Lost Cause

There is just a regular double on the 9th (JUV Turf) and 10th (Dirt Mile). there are only the two special doubles you mentioned.

He also ran new tops in both of his two off track races and should be a huge price. He\'s versatile, and looks like the\'ll be a mad dash in front of him to the turn.

Enjoy.

where do you see that? I see no slop tops

for what it\'s worth...

april 05 in the Withers over good track, ran a new top 3 1/4
june 06 in the Sal over a sealed sloppy track, ran a new top zero

note the subsequent races after these tops, both on fast, were also new tops (so 50/50 he\'s slop neutral?)

slop may move up Wanderin Boy & Discreet Cat a bit more tho?
