Lila Paige - like the 2 races with Levine. \'3\' at 1 1/16, then the \'0.5\' stretching a bit. gets four weeks prep here, and seems to be working well. gets in very light, and gets the 2 hole. distance the issue, but they\'re all in the same boat, and she is bred to keep running.

have to bet on a run in \'1\' range, which could be enough at the weights.

LP to win at ml of 15-1.

who wins the war on drugs?

Good news mikey...I can\'t stand Lili, and the way I\'ve been going ,I\'m just happy its\' the slower part of the season.
I liked #7 to hit the board ,till I saw m/l
I love the 4 to run big,but can\'t trust a Pletcher to be anywhere near 12/1
Both 4 and 7 have trainer that starts them off at a level and is famous for holding that form.
The 1 may get the distance and pick up a piece.
Soo...Whatever you do ,don\'t bet the 4 to win ...forget about the 6w1x4x7 in exotics, not to mention the 4x6w4x6w1x7...best of luck

The key is how far down the exotics Asi finishes. I love the #1........

In honor of my favorite dinosaur, D-Rex, I\'ll keep it short and simple:

Tri part wheel 125/1256/12456

ronwar

I think the 4 runs big here:

$1 super

4,6 w 4,6,3,1 w 4,6,3,1 w 4,6,3,1,2 = $24

Good Luck

Anybody understand what is going on with the Clerk of Scales in Delaware?

In the 6th race, Alvarado rode Adjusting and was listed as 2 pounds over the 114 pound weight assignment.  In the ROTW (race 11 same card), Alvarado is listed as the rider for Lila Paige at 113 pounds.  It would seem to me that he should be 3 pounds over, but he is not one of the three overweights listed.  Has anybody seen this before?  How do we know which weight assignment is right and which is wrong?  Does he plan to lose 3 lbs in the sweat box?  I think 3 pounds over at a mile and quarter might even add up to a length difference (but I could be wrong).

I love it when somebody tells me they love an 8-1 to run big. handicapping doesn\'t get much better than that. great pick.

could you stand Lili at 56-1? just a little?

Michael:

D-Rex nailed the winner, but you are being quite modest.

\"Lili Levine\" ran a very big one, wide and from well back on a surface many
said was favoring speed.

Both of you guys are in good form coming into the important part of the
racing/handicapping year.

And what to say about Bruce Levine, who claimed this mare from a trainer who
has to be considered a move up trainer, and has moved her up considerably?

shanahan

richiee - you are right to give our fellow posters kudos...well deserved.  BTW guys, keep posting!

alan - great call on the 5 horse in HP finale today...$12.60 to show!  I did not win, and my wife is still asking why I did not wager to show at those odds in a big field...she\'s still alive.

I think Lila got a decent trip Richie. 2:01.1 was just too fast for her. she was 2nd best tho - got the distance better than the rest.

huge hit for Levine. 200g 2nd is as good as many grade 1 wins purse wise.

congrats to Team Valor. 600g, and the filly deserves every penny of it after that run.

He bets with both hands.

So I just crawled in with the family from ocean city, md. Seven wonderful days, until I saw this. My stable mail alerted me to the winner when I wrote back in march that the horse had the operation for the entrapped throat thing on 3/6/07 and only missed 2 days of trainig.

First, I agree with all the kudos being passed around here.  Two posters posted very well on this race.

Second, I do not want to sound prissy, but, if the weights are so unreliable, doesn\'t that call into question the numbers?  If TGJB is given bad weights, it is not his fault, but the numbers necessarily suffer if the inputs are bad.

Third, shouldn\'t clerks of scales be barred from betting?  I mean that is like allowing stewards to bet or placing judges to bet.  I assume they are not allowed.  Why would a clerk of scales be allowed to bet?  That sounds very fishy to me.

I note that according to the DRF charts, in the sixth race, it lists Adjusting as carrying 116 lbs (including Alavarado even though her program assignment was 114 lbs) and it lists Lila Paige as carrying 113 lbs (including Alvarado).  I guess it is possible that he sweat down for one race, but I am not accustomed to seeing this.  Has anybody else seen this before in a Grade I or Grade II handicap?
