Going down this list three things come to mind.

A. Do these odds reflect fair \"drugs off\" odds?

B. Look at these post positions. Is the infatuation with Pletcher so complete that folks will really write (as they did) that Pletcher got good post positions?

C. Regardless of \"A\" above whatever the outcome SoCal2man is holding a future bet upon Scat Daddy that looks very rich considering how low the public wants to send Scat off in the Derby.

Regarding Scat Daddy and his training in barshoes:

How common is this? Pletcher says he\'s been training in them since July, and he probably doesn\'t need them now. Can we trust that?

I saw Target Louisville on HRTV Thursday evening and they showed Scat Daddy getting a bath, and wearing protective boots for the occasion.

I like this horse, but damn.

One hopes Pletcher\'s just being excessively cautious.

If he\'s really been training in them since July, the problemd can\'t be that big of a deal, as he\'s won 3 graded stakes in that span (two G1s).

Scats biggest positive in my opinion is the chance for rain. He is one of only a handful with proven off track form. You have to give him credit for winning his two final preps thats something others have not done.

To me the most interesting head to head is Scat and Nobiz. It will be very entertaining to see which has progressed to be superior over the other today. I\'m thinking Nobiz sees less traffic and that Scat saves a little more energy early. It will be interesting. That said, I\'m not sure that head to head winner will affect the exotics.
