Anybody else out there besides me who was not that impressed with No Biz on Saturday. I know its early and I know Tagg isn\'t reaching for the bottom now but this horse has a very disturbing habit of wanting to get in, causing the rider to turn his head right and the horse himself never really striding out as effectively as he should.

This bad habit or minor physical issue began in the Champagne where he hung pretty badly just beating one horse who has been all but eased twice since and getting beat by another who stopped pretty readily in his last two.

The race on Saturday had a half in 47. If there had been some real sprinters who went in 45 and No Biz came from ten off I might be a little more visually impressed.

But as things stand right now, one more like last Saturday and it won\'t be long before this show gets cancelled.

Bottom line in this business is 30 seconds before post time. (Until the hackers get involved...) If you are a good handicapper, the question is who do you like and he\'d better be  5 -1 or better. If you are fortunate,the horse wins and pays $8.60. Not much better than working at Burger King in America.

Your observation is what some feel is the chink in the armor of No Biz.He\'s a very big animal, still developing, and shifting/bearing in all starts. Normally I would think he\'s trying to get off a lead that may be pinching him but a temporary mulligan may be in order for his youth. He is not very athletic either.

Gulf was a fast surface on Saturday that was kind to inside speed in one turn dirt races.His performance against the clock was rather ordinary for that track(Beyer 98) TG 1-ish?

Anyway he\'s all the hype now and be worth targeting going forward.Some talk about the sprinter Adore the Gold and Ravel at SA. Kinda early but the next 6-8 weeks should get interest going.

i\'m looking at all triple crown preps -  in the holy bull , i figured scat would run back off the bounce but was impresed imo with the winner\'s 2 yo pattern  - guessing another 2 or sm (nice) top .  i didn\'t watch the race but am taking notice of what\'s being said about the horse\'s nuances and habits . sounds to me like nobiz was either lazy ,under the weather  or still a little wet behind the ears ...

This was his fourth race and lugged in yet again.  The excuse \"he\'s still green\" is getting old.  Might be a nice bet against in the Fountain of Youth.

i thought he changed leads a bit late. if that\'s the case (and i\'m not sure it was, my screen was pretty small), i wouldn\'t be too concerned about the inability to put away the other horses sooner.

final 1/4 in under :25.

some decent stamina influence on bottom of Storm Cat in the pedigree.

soundness could be an issue for the big colt.

if the fig comes back OK, i don\'t have any major issues with NoBiz yet.

The Derby is a race with a 20 horse field. None of the above bodes well in that kind of race for a horse looking like the second favorite.

This horse has two more \"Auditions\" before he is asked to step on the \"Big Stage\".  

I\'m not saying I\'m giving him the hook. But I did ask one of the stage help to start looking for it.

No Biz reminds me of First Samurai.

Big, talented, erratic. The kid who is the star of the 7th-8th grade football/basketball team but never get\'s any better.

Tagg has a tendency to pump some speed into his dirt (not turf) horses as does Brothers.
9 times out of 10 `17 hands animals need to run in the clear at their own pace.
(Easy Goer at Belmont vs Sunday Silence at Churchill/Gulfstram).  Pumping speed into horses almost always stunts their long term development (past 3 yr. old classics).  

No Biz bearing in is immaturity. Tagg could take care of it with special bits if he wanted. Bearing in/out for the 1st time is a warning sign for horses who have run 10 times and all the sudden. No Biz has done this since go.

As did Samurai.

Tagg said Saturday was perfect, but if he can pull this off it will be by far his best job. He is no longer under the radar.

It\'s FEBRUARY, guys. Talk to me in April. They need to be moving forward, remember? Unless you\'re Smarty Jones, and you\'re already fast enough in Feb or March to win the race.

All this talk about something three months away that will take 2 minutes. Sounds like TG office discussions about sex.

If you guys think No Biz isn\'t that talented and too green - what\'s that say about the field he beat fairly easily? It didn\'t look to me like Velasquez even really asked too much of him down the lane - a swerving lane at that.

Another one I was anticipating Saturday was Times Squared. He got 1st time Lasix and ran 6th (I think) in the 9 furlong Sham. This million dollar horse looks to be ruined before he even broke his maiden. His looks like a case of rich, arrogant and impatient owners forcing Biacone to run the animal. Not my kind of strategy. I never will understand the \"hurry up and get to the Derby\" rush.

At this point, not real high on Nobiz. He reminds me of High Fly.

It is early, but if you can determine an improving horse with pedigree likely to help him at distance its a good time to position oneself for prep race cashing.

The two that have caught my eye are not secrets and to my mind deserve current favoritism:  Street Sense and Hard Spun, but there are lots of races to be run and some of the favorites will fall by the wayside and a real good horse to cash with will come upon the scene.
