Nice looking effort by the LeComte winner. Has anyone seen this horse rate to win?

yes. yesterday.

he runs 21 & change quarters when they let him run.

bred to go for miles on bottom. can\'t remember the last time i saw a Danzig win a big one going ten furlongs on dirt though.

the colt has a nice future in front of him. looks like a Lure type to me.

Stephans Odyssey was 2nd in the Derby and Belmont.

He was real good horse in a real good year.

Chiefs Crown, Spendabuc, Proud Truth, Tanks Prospect, Brians Time, Creme Fraiche. That crew handled olders in both the Marboro Cup and BC Classic

That was a while ago but it still counts.

With his intriguing pedigree and unblemished race record, is there any doubt that this one will eventually end up in the Sheikh\'s shopping cart?

Is this Danzig\'s last crop of 3YO, or is there one more to come?

According to Alan @left at the gate; the sheik started knocking on the barn door after his maiden race!
Owner too stuburn to sell at this time and appears to have enough money in bank to continue his ways.

last one i can remember is versailles treaty (alabama).
chief\'s crown won the travers before that.
pine bluff was the last real triple crown player. couldn\'t quite get the distance in the derby or belmont though.
war chant made some noise before winding up on turf.

It\'s actually the sheik\'s son who has put out the word that he will buy any fast promising colt(oil money no object). He wants to be the leading owner.Arrogant/pompous little ----- according to several who have met him.It seems that the few american guys who train for the wealthy arabs are kinda intimidated by that crowd.

I don\'t think this board should be open to racist remarks, like yours.

You may a be a great handicapper, but you have a long way to go be a decent person.

Msola-- I just edited that post when I got in, before I even saw yours, and obviously you are right. By the way, my girlfriend has written a couple of very well received books on the Middle East, opening my eyes, and making it clear that most in this country-- including those that get a microphone-- have no idea what they are talking about when they speak about that part of the world.

although this one\'s probably best for jerry ,  how does anyone rate the \'06 2 yo crop overall - in terms of form cycles / patterns and numbers - compared to recent years . i\'m undecided but leaning towards a little better  - maybe ...

Thank you, Jerry. You confirm once again the kind of person you are.

Jerry, Too bad that Bush never bothered to read your girlfriend\'s books. He didn\'t even bother to find out that there were rival Sunni and Shiite sects, (who are now fighting a cival war), when he invaded Iraj. He just stupidly figured that since they\'re Arabs they must all be Al Queda.

I agree.

It was almost as dumb as thinking that the number of people that hate our way of life and want to do us serious harm is just a \"handful\" of extremists that wouldn\'t hold those views if we were just nice to them and gave them better opportunities.

Let\'s face it, we are governed by two parties whose incompetence, stupidity, and corrupt ways are mind boggling.
