Actually, Bit, if you look at Mr Irwin\'s response to CTC in this thread, he seems to be quite familiar with at least one shadowy use of Mepivocaine.

Mr. Irwin IMO selectively applies his zero tolerance policy.

The deference which is given to trainers of large outfits (like Todd Pletcher) by owners and racing in general creates an unlevel playing field which over the long run will probably work to the game\'s detriment.

It sounds like the general status of this medication has changed as has the applications and it\'s subsequent detectability . It seems not to long ago that a positive found was a trace level and inadvertent residual amount resulting from treatment of an actual medical condition .
