By the way, Bernardini ran really fast. If the track was the same as the previous race, he ran really REALLY fast-- fast enough that it wouldn\'t have mattered what Barbaro did.

If I remember correctly he stated the Derby might be a rush job but the Preakness might suit the schedule a little better.

   If we are giving out kudos,I might mention that Ed Fountaine (NY Post) identified Barbaro as a Derby prospect after he broke his maiden on the Delaware lawn. Hope he followed through and bet him in the futures
