Two Bucks

Keeping track of everyone will be very confusing, without clear rules on parlays and what to do with money bet on scratched runners. But it probably won\'t matter anyway... pending the last 2 races it looks like the only one who will be above the 1000 mark is Kevin Engelhard, with 28 to win on Sarava. Nice hit! If anyone else made it over 1000 please post here.

Michael D.

I think I finished at $1,552.......although 8 of my first 10 bets were void to to scratches.

Michael D.

correction.....$1532, but I have noticed a few winners out there. Didn\'t Nunzio put it all on Gygistar and Forbidden Apple? Great bets there, but ALWAYS protect yourself with place bets or exactas when betting Santos. (although he rode very well today)

superfreakicus

I thought I broke positive ---- I\'ll have to go check.....be right back.....
checking....

checking....

checking....

no...wait...I\'m still typing.

Mike\'s got me beat (unless he\'s lying....)

now, to check on the other principals...

Michael D.

Race 3: thought Personal Pete was a lock, two scratches (-$30)

Race 4: Ellie\'s Moment was a lock, still is a lock. I still do not believe the horse lost. two scratches as well (-$47)

Race 5: three scratches. I bet Bailey at the track. I made large win bets on the first five races: five seconds. (flat)

Race 6: Day cost me 5 out of 6 on the pk6, 12 times!!!!! Explicit got away with moderate fractions (for him), how could you have predicted that????? had exacta small (+34)

Race 7: was a four horse race, with the two scratches, it was a cold exacta, I nailed it at the track (money for large pk3 plays: -$156, that includes scratches)

Race 8: went four deep in pk3, win bet on Gygistar (4 horses used in the pk3 ran 1-4)
(+$149)

Race 9: what did the Rags sheets say on Strut and Hap?, they didn\'t match up well on TG (except for the Hap Arl #, which I concluded was wrong). Beat Hollow was a lock. hit the win bet, and decent pk3\'s. I though both JJ and Day roade horrible races, WA and BF were the second and third best, I think that will be proven later in the year.
(+$735)

Race 10: 2.29 and change, looked like the editers note race.... absolutely horrible race.... I stick to my claim last month that WE will be grazing in a California field during the BC. Having said that, my picks were horrible, used PC, PD, and LAH.... not even close (-$153)

Two Bucks

That is probably the best way to determine the winner is for anyone who made a profit to post their plays here. I was actually keeping track, and didn\'t mind the work, but as it got later I realized that it was an excersize in futility, because we never agreed to hard and fast rules for certain scenarios... like
1. Would scratch money be merely refunded or would they be allowed to be placed on an alternate?
2. Would parlays be allowed?
3. Then there were those who wanted their wagers with certain \"conditions\"... like the horse is a minimum of 5-2, the wind is blowing from the southeast at between 9 and 17 MPH, and Mars and Uranus are in opposition when the gates opened.
If we have any contests in the future, i would be glad to track the wagers, but the rules and wagers allowed would need to be agreed on and settled before the wagers are posted, and what you bet is what you get regardless of the odds or conditions (the one condition that would be acceptable is a demand that the race be left on the turf). Also keeping all the contest selections in a single thread would make it easier too.

superfreakicus

well, well....

I won\'t spoil the reveal for the participants, but after adding a couple #\'s, it looks like superfreakicus didn\'t do too badly, for a guy handicapped w/horribly inaccurate #\'s.

David -
re: 3rd race tri - HAHA!
tough beat on the belmont, buddy.

HP -
nice work on the 7th, you freaks.
take the small consolation that you beat out jerry.
he didn\'t bet any of his $1000, hence, TOTAL = 0

Tabitha -
if you remember, I got down $200 on myself in the futures at 7/2.
somebody\'s got a little debt to work off.......

Michael -
re: Hap + Strut
my comment on the race was, \'throw a blanket over them\'
Hap had decent #\'s, and Strut was a tick slow, but had a nice little condition line leading a few sheet players to use him @ big ml.
they were all really pretty close, and it just came down to the trips, the prices, and whether you thought you\'d get their A race, or a mediocre effort.
nobody really stood out, and I really had no opinion.
Hap and Strut looked like just another couple horses in the race to me.
I really wouldn\'t be that excited about using a $5 horse, anyway.

fatma

I collected $1995 on my win bet on Sarava [I had $50 in real money on him but no exacta and none of the 5 horse I had in the 11th race pk 3 won either]. I think I also had $360 back in scratch money for a total of $2355.

using a $5.20 horse that you feel is a lock in pk3\'s, pk4\'s, and pk6\'s is the smartest bet you can make. Loading up on these kind of picks in exotics is the key to making the big bucks.................

I guess my exact profit was +497, so $1,497 my total..... sorry for clogging up the board here with my pathetic math

superfreakicus

oh, I see what you\'re getting at, although I\'d disagree about the pick 3\'s, and I don\'t play pick 6\'s.

if you add back scratch $, I had about $1400, so we\'re a little closer than I thought.

derby1592

Congrats to whomever won.

Two of my four key horses scratched and one of the remaining two was beaten by 50 lengths (Perfect Drift). Still I did manage to hit the win, exacta, trifecta and singled-Pick 3 with Babae for an $878 total. I was a little disappointed because I was hoping for a better payoff but Voodoo Dancer scratched late cutting the probable prices considerably. Of course, I should not complain since she might have won, had she entered.

Depending on the \"official\" scratch rules (I was the \"only bet this horse if the wind is blowing from the southeast\" entry...hey, at least I did not bet any parlays...), the scratch of Trancendental might leave me with another $200, which would put me in the black for the day. That total is certainly not going to win the contest but at least it\'s a semi-respectable finish.

Anyone that picked Sarava deserves to win. Another jump-up Belmont winner...

Thanks again to TGJB for sponsoring.
