I think we all have Michael Tabor and D. Wayne Lost-It to thank for making a farce out of one of America\'s most prestigious sporting events.

A couple of good things came out of this, however....Mike Smith(a terrific guy)winning his first Derby and BANDINI washing out and running up the track. Take your rabbit and shove it, Mr. Tabor.

A truly gut-wrenching effort by AFLEET ALEX...I\'m wondering if he will have any gas left in the tank 2 weeks from now. If he goes, he\'s the solid PREAKNESS favorite and quite vulnerable, IMO.

As for D. Wayne Lost-It, I\'m sure GOING WILD is headed for the PREAKNESS. Or perhaps he\'ll skip it and go to the Belmont where DWL will try to convince anyone willing to listen to his B.S. that GW reminds him of COMMENDABLE.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

The rabbits didn\'t beat Bellamania, what beat him was inability to rate/bounce. A superstar, a champion, has to be able to demostrate greatness in adversity. If Bellamania is a front end only horse, he has to be sent for the lead like a Dr. Fager. If he needs it all his own way, rabbits deserve to beat him.

The only horse to fair better late than he, after being near the pace was Closing Argument.

Bellamanias training gallops were signaling he was still headstrong. He doesnt look like a fluid mover either and big stride or not thats not ideal under pressure.
