Who do you guys like in the big race? I\'m taking a shot with CRUPI. I think the risk/reward is worth it going off the ML.

Playing SAUDI CROWN to bounce. WHITE ABARRIO doesn\'t seem to be the same. Don\'t know what to do with SKIPPY.

I think I\'ll box the two Pletcher horses in the exacta and bet CRUPI to win.

Enjoy the race and good luck.

I agree with you about Crupi. Does anyone have either a positive or negative
opinion on Stronghold?

Locked
Saudi Crown
Stronghold

Don\'t think he\'ll be anywhere near his morning line, and I don\'t think 1 1/8th is his best distance against this level.

Good Luck,
Joe B.

Locked may be a lock. Hoping to get 2-1.

What’s the over/under on what path he’s in on the first turn?

Three wide, think Johnny V. will drop him over & tuck in and try to save some ground and run them don in the stretch. Those outside posts are brutal at GP.

Hoping he pairs up the last number he got in the Cigar mile.
He should get the extra 1/16th of a mile, 9 furlongs should suit him fine.

One of the best Ky derby performances in the last 30 years was by Barbaro , in my humble opinion. He on from post 12 in the Florida Derby.
Locked is lightly raced, came back off of a layoff with a decent figure, improved on that in the Cigar mile, think he runs his race again.

Mystik Dan, Skippy, White Abbario & Newgrange should take enough money, and the post might sway some away from Locked.

Anybody think Locked will be on or near the front?

Roman

Thanks for the sheets Jerry. Good luck to all.

Barbaro was post 10. Big Brown was 12.

Stronghold has a very solid pattern
Other than the Derby has never taken a step back nor finished out of the exacta. Running style fits with Gulfs track profile.  Ghostzappers steadily improve with age.

10-1 ML yes please

Tavasco

1. Mixto 10/1
2. Saudi Crown 9/2
3. NewGrange 20/1
4. White Abarrio 3/1
5. Crupi 15/1
6. Stronghold 10/1
7. Steal Sunshine 30/1
8. Vitality 50/1
9. Mystik Dan 8/1
10 Skippylongstocking 10/1
11 Locked 7/2
12 Power Squeeze 30/1

The principal overlay is #10 Skippylongstocking. He runs 0 or better routinely. Last year\'s Pegasus was an anomaly.

The underlay is Mystik Dan. A one-hit wonder on the biggest day of American Racing.

Win Contenders Locked, Saudi Crown, White Abarrio

Crupi is not impossible but he probably needs more time to recover from the big effort a few races back in order to run a winning number.

IMHO - a race unlikely to produce surprises. Stronghold is maturing nicely and my best guess, if the race has a surprise jump-up performance.
