Barnes vs Bullard

Might be the beginning of Rivalry here. Barnes is the highly hyped $3.2M purchased that Baffert chose to ship all the way to CD to break his Maiden. And to break the Ice on Bafferts what 3 year ban at CD. That was some kind of race as Barnes overcame every obstacle to win going 5.5F at a distance he won\'t see again for a long time.

Bullard has been impressive running twice and looks like a runner who wants to go long. He broke his Maiden Labor Weekend when I was at Del Mar and  for the record I have $100 to win at 50-1 in the Derby Future Book. Long way to between now and then.

If I had to wager I think Barnes wins tomorrow. Working fast from the gate. Bullard has all kinds of pedigree and a solid conditioner. This is the season where things start to get fun.
