Anybody running to the windows to take even money on this horse tomorrow? With those tight turns on a Track that usually favors speed. Hopefully no one get side swiped when he lugs in and gets injured.

I will be curious to see where Fierceness is right now?  Was that Negative 3 like a Bellamy Road effort?  He did break his maiden by 10 or 11 on this Track. At 9-5 sitting a stalking trip off Batton Down he will be very tempting if he burned your money at 3-1 in the Derby. Maybe I missed it but I never heard a word about what went wrong that day.

The Mott horse is well Bred. An up and comer and will be sent. If Fiercenss folds again he is probably gone.

I am thinking about it. Running to the window.

I won\'t have many more chances to bet before I run into the South American firewalls. It seems a given from what I have read - he is going to be compromised one way or another.Six horse field with Flavien, I don\'t make it a given.

Geez, if all the people who came out against Fierceness after the Derby have a point, who do I have to beat? Batten Down is well bred? That is like saying they all have tails.

Even money is still double your money. For a person my circumstance - am considering. Not exactly going out in a blaze of glory, but I could use some green. She likes the mall.

Two head cases in a 6-horse field with one of them winning at low odds.  No thanks. I\'ll be passing this race where the losing trainer of the 2 will be asking for a horse psychologist in the post-race interview.

With last years\' Jim Dandy still in my mind, I\'m wondering - if SL bears in, sideswipes 3 or 4 horses, and goes on to win, will they DQ him?  I wouldn\'t take even money on him for this reason alone.

Also, while I\'m thinking about it, a memory test for me - I think I vaguely recall sometime last century the Saratoga stewards DQed the wrong horse and got exiled to Finger Lakes for that.  Am I right about that?

Silver Charm

Allemuse. 2nd race I believe and it was on the grass. The Winner? Owned by Harbor View Farms named Festivity

Why do I remember this? This was my first trip to Saratoga and I had the DQ\'d runner. Had the binoculars on her the entire trip and saw nothing. I almost went to the Stewards box and asked for my money back.

These Stewards are not gonna DQ Brandt, Repole, Ortiz, That\'s fact

Roman

Only bet I would make is a Batten Down / Sierra Leone exacta box , or key those two in the tri.

Fierceness is a standout. It’s not unusual for a Pletcher horse to flop in the Derby and return to win this race.

Molesap

Fierceness opening up at 3/5 and Sierra Leone 2/1 is surprising to me though... Never mind - these odds reversed on second tick Sierra Leone 4/5, Fierceness 2/1.

Roman

Agree, Sierra Leone at 4/5 is wild.

Boscar Obarra

Shorter than that in the  DD and pick3

Silver Charm

Not a Redboard but I took Fierceness at 9-5 sitting a stalking trip. It was not a large wager. Good Intel from Repole that he is a lite horse and efforts take a lot out of him.

Sierra Leone? Let the excuses begin. Brown probably blames the Jock because he flicked his right pinkie at the 11/16s pole and cost him all chance. Whoever won, he really didnt. Despite having lost 3 tines going into today Paul Laduca continues to say he is undefeated except for a head, nose and a clean break WTF.

The Travers will be a good race. The Filly adds a little flavor and drama. She is taking on some good horses. But not any great ones......

I\'m fairly new to the forum and to TG in general, but I\'m starting to hit my stride, having an excellent July using the sheets.  To me Fierceness was a clear choice running a new top after every bounce.  As of now he looks to be a classic zig-zag horse and I hit the 6/1 exacta accordingly.

Forgive me if I\'m a bit ignorant as I\'m still learning, but I have a hard time believing Sierra Leone didn\'t run huge in that race, possibly his biggest race to date.  Had both run back to their previous tops, Fierceness figured to beat him by about four lengths.

I\'m not sure Fierceness paired that -3 or moved past it, but I wouldn\'t be surprised if Sierra Leone ran a new top.  If Fierceness ran paired or topped Sierra Leone almost couldn\'t win without becoming a super horse overnight.  Personally I look forward to everyone filing divorce papers on Sierra Leone, I think the numbers will confirm he ran a monster race today.

jerry

Sierra Leone ran his race. He just needed Fierceness not to run his race.

The pace was much slower than I expected.

I don’t think the track was very fast. Some quick horses went 6 in 1:11+
