I\'ve seen similar events to what happened in this race before but after a long day of being beaten every way one can be beat. This one broke my spirit somewhat. I liked the value of #8 @ 18/1.

John McKee rode him nicely to finish a strong closing 3rd. The 3/1 winner paid $3.60 to show. The 6/1 2nd place finisher paid 4.40 to show. My 18/1 3rd place finisher paid $2.80 to show.

I considered the #8 to be a legitimate overly so backed it across the board with confidence. Apparently one or more clowns added some $3K to the show pool. Congratulations wise guys.

Oh by the way, you could have gotten the same return by betting less. But hey Gamblin Train nice run! Sheesh. Looks like the $148 4 bit trifecta may have also been trifled with.

Next Japan, where $3K doesn\'t affect a pool.

After checking the Red Board Room this morning I discover my choice in the subject race was a couple to a few points slower than most all in the field. Now my dilemma is how to reconcile how such a slow poke finished so close to the winner. McKee did a nice job of saving some ground and found a seam when he had momentum.

In hindsight, from the TG sheet, I would never had backed #8. Now I consider myself lucky to have gotten any show money.

Friday Night, Super Bowl Weekend, A Blizzard, A Pandemic, Kentucky, It\'s all history now as I scout for today\'s overlay\'s.

I read Besos @ Santa Anita is one to watch!

Good Luck Everyone.
