Mine is Spinoff. I don\'t think he can win, but he\'ll sure rev up those exotic prices if he hits the board. Aside from an encouraging sheet that shows only forward moves, I dug up some breeding stats:  Sire 20% on wet routes, even better 7/21 (33%) wet track distance races > 1 3/16, 27% overall dry & wet dirt on those longer distance races & on the mare\'s side a sibling who is 1/2 on wet tracks & a win himself on a good track in his debut.

I think Johnny V may regret choosing Shug over Pletcher.

What I think is great about selecting a bomb is inevitably conventional wisdom discounts the horse for one or more reasons.

Here in the information age, We know how fast horses have run previously but we don\'t know with certainty how they will run on Saturday.

So what is some good logic to apply, In my case I\'ll stretch a point and go with too little known. Master Fencer w/b my bomb choice.

Compare his sheet to Commanding Curve. It’s similar and I’m intrigued, though I’d prefer if Mother Nature stopped opening up on our biggest days. As far as bombs go, Bode is one to consider. Gray Magician I think has a small shot to get a piece. And then word we all hate. ;)

Part of me wants to see a Max Security / Tax exacta. Which I will play. What a big middle finger (and story) would that be to the who’s who of this sport.

I’ll be using both TAP’s.  It’s kinda like internet porn or stoping at the bar when your supposed to be getting dog food, you know better, you know you shouldn’t do it, but there’s a part of you that just has to see what it’s all about.

But seriously the expected odds make him a must use on at least a few tickets, imvho
