No cash for me.

Good Magic was second and I needed him to win.

Really felt like once Promises Fulfilled burned up the rail played very favorably to those that ran it. Will review later for the Preakness.

Congrats to Tavasco on the Super it appears. That fourth place horse was a good one to get in.

Tavasco

No No - I was just shocked that he got into the super.

I got nada!

Nothing happening in Baltimore in two weeks. Not with this horse. The Preakness could be a walkover.

Sizeable Win ticket Good Magic.

Hit exacta and trifecta, But those were basically consolation prizes.

If GM wins I hit the superfecta and a bigger trifecta. Deja vu all over again.

Keyed Good Magic over Justify, Audible, and Bolt. Hit the All for 4th. Hated Mendelssohn tossed him.

I get a call from a buddy who\'s in Tahoe, he cashed for 17k that race. Just the call I was hoping to get after that weekend of watching large fish fall off my line. I was happy for him tho, good guy.

Justify was fantastic, ridden by the great one. Congrats to all that cashed.

What time is the Preakness???

very nice

I should know better than to play baffert to bounce. American Pharaoh killed me and I knew better, but had to try and buck him. Pletcher hitting third wasn\'t good for my exotics  either though. Maybe next time.

I know better than to discount sires, but it really was odd that so many Scat Daddies were in this race. Unreal.

Poor Mendy. Magnum Moon veered dead in on the break slammed into Instilled Regard who laid a lick on Mendy. Who though squeezed was urged to rush up and he looked cooked at the half, which was torrid. Finished last. That early lick did not help his cause, but these Euro horses cannot hot foot with American horses under their current training.

I knew I was tempting fate with Baffert, but I gotta tell you these European trainers that are trying to Dirt over here in this race following these continental plans ....how can I say this without offending?........They are very unlucky...lol

crazy. That was a three million dollar horse just abused by his trainer.

I had the Tri, which wasn\'t much more than a \"saver\" bet. I was heavier to Audible on top. I could of used Justify to not run everybody else on the front end (other than GM) completely into the ground.  I was expecting more out of the pressing types with the weather and the track being what it was.

Justify was certainly impressive though, gotta give him his due. At the same time, I was surprised with how much work was left for Audible to do?  Way to much ground to make up for a horse that was still running at the end. Same thing as the \"crowd pleaser\" My Boy Jack?  The one\'s that took all the money run 1-2-3-5.  Super disheartening for any race but this year\'s KY Derby field?  You gotta be kidding me?

Assuming Mendelssohn wasn\'t beat before he entered the gate he certainly was the second he left it.  Bolt done turning for home was disappointing to. Did you guys see anything you liked from anyone outside of the top five?

billk5300s

I played GM w/p, completely tossed Justify.  Had big exacta with Audible and wheel all tri 6/5/6/5-ALL.  Got some crumbs for my place bet.

I must say I loved Justify and I keyed him to win with the majority of my tickets being superfecta’s.
Unfortunately I did not have the 4 th place horse.
Lesson here, two years in a row Hollendforfer brought in a horse with a pair up numbers.

Personally I could not of handicap a race any better only to cash a small savor tri

It was a bit disappointing, to say the least.
I also believe this horse is the goods.
Well only 364 days until Derby 145.

Saver tri to cut my losses.

Bulk of my play(tri\'s and Supers) had Justify on top with almost as much Hofburg underneath. If My Boy Jack wasn\'t so over bet and at proper odds he\'d have been more of an under use for me.Thought those two would benefit from a fast pace.

Neither ran bad,and both got stopped(Hofburg 2x) when they were starting to put their run in.

Hofburg would be my Belmont horse(this time on top)if they decide to run him back in five weeks.

ajkreider

Like many on here, I had the tri a couple of times.  And also like many, Magic on top would have made things very different.  (Was nowhere close to the super, despite being \"live\" to a bunch).

But after all is said and done, and tallying all the tris and supers, the future win and exacta bets, the throwing a stupid amount of money on outlier possibilities with an hour to go (visions of a monster payday) - total profit on the Derby sums to  (Jerry Lewis drumroll) - one dollar and 40 cents.*

Boom!

*So, a loss, including TG data investment.

yesthatwouldbeme

I cashed an insignificant amount, ex/tri and like most didn\'t have IR on the bottom of my big super ticket. I scrambled to play a saver \"mudder\" EBX that was a complete waste of time/stress. Justify looks legit, looking fwd to the Belmont take down discussions next month. Enjoyed the dialogue here and thanks for the seminar insights JB.

bluechip21

like most, I hit the tri and exacta. Missed the $1 super by leaving Audible off a $21 dollar ticket... ugh. I had like Instilled Regard to get the bottom of the super quite a bit based on his pedigree and the fact that I considered the SA Derby to be a prep of sorts. I guess I was thinking some old school training methods at hand by Hollendofer. Turns out the SA Derby was the key prep.

Jerry\'s seminar was very helpful and led to a profitable weekend all around.

atakante

Got the TRI but missed out on the big SUP as I had GM winning and Justify 2nd even though IR was on the ticket.  Oh well, there\'s always next year.  Weather Gods PLEASE give us a fast dry Derby...enough with this ugly mudfest stuff!!

Justify looking like a real Triple Crown threat to me.  Willing to give him a 51% chance now...

Gerard

Needed Bravazzo, FDB, or Instilled Regard to complete the triple. Felt it wasn\'t going to be my day when I actually saw two futures wager horses make the starting gate, both (Noble Indy and Instilled Regard) at longer prices than my futures wager. Didn\'t have much confidence the exacta price price would stay in that range, otherwise would have had a few savers there. Congrats to all who cashed and great calls on the seminar A horses.

Not conceding the Preakness to the winner at 1-9 just yet. Orb, Super Saver, and MTB are enough history off sloppy track wins to take some flyers for me. Since 2000, only Smarty moved forward in Baltimore off the slop, but that wasn\'t off a new top in the KD. Could see Bravazzo with a move forward, it\'s still early.

Six straight favorites, hopefully that changes next year, as well as the track conditions.

I hate redboarding but I posted my opinion before the race on another board. I had Justify on top in 4 supers with GM, Audible, and Bolt as my 3 keys, 1x3x10x16, 1x3x16x10, 1x10x3x16, and 1x10x16x3. I cashed 2 of my 4 super tickets, biggest score of my life. The seminar was very helpful in solidifying my opinion on GM as the most likely board hitter. Thanks again.
