I don\'t have TG sheets knowledge of this one but Runaway Ghost looks like a serious racehorse that I won\'t discard on the first Saturday in May at this point. Perhaps the other Todd? That was a super easy win. I can\'t wait to see how that number compares to Noble Indy. TG loved his daddy, too.I wonder who rides him in May?

Yes and No and Maybe

I\'m still reflecting since the rest appeared to run like mules Runaway Ghost\'s performance c/b visually misleading.

Was it just me or did he look stiff legged and tired as he pulled away from his challengers in the stretch.? Ouchy.

Visually he was in a class by himself and ran wide while inhaling the pace setting gang. Very impressive move to take the lead.

As in prior years we should be able to get a price on derby day and this one has done all that has been asked of him. It was a $800k purse and cash is still a good barometer even in the La. swamp or desert that glows in the night.

Serious odds change at last tick that’s for sure.

Track was playing pretty fast.  State bred fillies went the mile in 1:35 and 1/5.  A sprint went through 6F in 1:08 and change - also state breds.  If you want a price on him in May, I think you will get it.

According to DRF, the preliminary Beyer is only 85.  Runaway Ghost will look better than that on TG because he was widest all the way around.

Will be interesting to see the TG as he did beat Peace by the same margin as the two big west coasters. That was a 35mph backstretch headwind they set those fractions into. He was widest and advancing on them into it, one tough horse yesterday. May need more than six weeks to recover. Reride, another one of the KYJC runners handled him in the MTB, 12-1 early in the UAE derby.

Ideally, doesn\'t Runaway Ghost need a 4.2 (no worse than 5.2) TG FIG or lower to be in conversation of win candidate??
