I\'m imaging he trains his turf runners while they are wearing lead anklets and running up steep slopes. Similar concept to a lead bat for on deck hitters.

Add a pack of wolves and voila! Dominance

Whatever he does, he does it very well.

Tavasco somehow your use of French is not driving me wild the way Morticia did
her husband Gomez in the \"Addams Family.\" And since I know you are a cinema
guy, and speaking of a pack of wolves, I hope you have seen the 2015 New York
based documentary \"The Wolfpack\". As Pete Axthelm once said, \"The only thing
better than a lie is a true story which no one can believe.\"

No matter what Chad Brown\'s training methods might be, let\'s not forget what
Miss Billie Holiday said in \"God Bless The Child\": \"Them that\'s got shall
have/Them that\'s not shall lose.\" As Soupy Sales might have said \"Now what did
she mean by that?\"

Chad Brown, much like Todd Pletcher, the man he has supplanted as New York\'s
top dog, is dealing from strength. There is no reason to believe he will not
continue to get top stock. The strength in numbers means he will have racing
offices ready and willing to accommodate him. He will be able to hire the best
assistants and exercise riders. His owners will be able to afford the best
veterinarians and farriers. His owners will continue to allow him to be patient
with his stock. He will be able to exercise his stock in sets, a nice advantage
for young runners.

Of course none of this is as sexy as the magic bullet theories, the whispers of
horses mysteriously rebreaking at the eighth pole, but we owe Mr. Brown the
benefit of the doubt. No rat poison incidents. No clusters of fatalities.

So its a Chad Chad World. Who\'s your Chaddy? How you gonna beat all those
Chadillacs?

That being said, I think there is a contrarian opportunity at the Spa this
afternoon. That would be in the late Pick 4, where Chad Brown will saddle the
morning line favorites (as per seven pound apprentice line maker Travis Stone)
(only at dysfunctional NYRA is the best racecaller on the payroll deployed as a
morning line maker) in the first three legs of said wager. Am I allowed to
construct a P4 which discards all three Chad faves?

In an unrelated matter, since TGAB will be handling the seminar later this
afternoon, time to revisit the updated Jewish stallion list:

1) Bernstein
2) Purim
3) Line of David
4) Maimonides

Seven pound bug?  Since when did he lose the ten pound bug?  You are way too generous Richiebee.......but maybe you were being a provocateur here?

This is exhibit A that NYRA does give a hoot about its customers.  I was up at the Spa last week with some novices and was trying to teach them what they were seeing.  The amount of oxygen and breath I had to waste to explain what a normal Morning Line is and then what the Morning Line is at Saratoga and then answer their barrage of questions about something that we would not have even had to discuss if the nyra had just left in place the same linemaker it uses all year was simply astounding.

The \'bee stings again!  But on a handicapping front, I\'m wondering if you are floating like a butterfly after a hazy, late night of NYC music at a local bar. I, on the other hand, woke up feeling like a Million bucks today!

If you are throwing CB out of the p4, why not just \'go for the downs\' and eliminate him out of the pick 6 (where he has the m/l fav in leg 1 and in leg 2 he is second choice behind a TAP firster)?  I tell you what though, I believe CB\'s horses are feeling up to the task in the p4 alone and will make a small friendly wager if you are agreeable.

I don\'t see three consecutive Hanging Chad\'s.   I will wager an Uber ride for you and I at my cost to Saratoga harness in a few weeks after thoroughbred racing ends, I\'ll throw in 6 drinks of your choice in the Backyard on Friday, and last, I\'ll throw in a meal of your choice at any restaurant in town that doesn\'t require a collared shirt.  This seems like quite the Gift Box I\'m offering up for the bet if Chad Brown has consecutive K\'s in innings 8, 9, and 10.

In the alternative, if I win the wager and Brown Delivers a single, a double, or a triple, you shall make Heinken purchases for me at my leisure all day in the backyard on Friday of Travers week!  If you have other ideas, I will gladly listen but certain propositions will be Off Limits!

As you once said, this is what Brown can do for you!  Let me know if you are ageeable anytime before 5:08 ET.  I will only wager on Arlington at the windows today, a track facing a serious Time Test, but this will at least keep the Spa interesting for me.

Gift Box scratched from the ninth.

I think Off Limits is a great bet against if the ML is correct in the eighth. However, Off Limits has not been a favorite since April of last year while racing mostly in allowances.  I note that Puca has been a strong favorite in her three last races.

Anyway, my assessment of the race is that it is very evenly matched and if anybody is heavily bet, I would look elsewhere. I would not rely on the ML as an accurate reflection of how the crowd will bet.

in terms of the feature race, I unfortunately worry a lot about Chad in this race -- meaning I think he holds a strong hand.  If you look carefully at Time Test\'s sheet...he exhibits exceptionally strong pattern in both his three year old year and four year old year.  THis year, he is third race back and his first two were longer distances stymied by slow pace.  I don\'t like betting chad, but I feel this one is hard to toss.  Also, making things worse, the line maker probably got it right that this Chad will be favored.  This horse was a good bet against last two times, but i fear not so much today.  That being said, I am going to go two deep because Disco Partner can disco.

Sorry Richie for being a nattering nabob.

my ticket for the pick four will be deep in first leg.....using Cerro, Lewy, and Spartiatis in the second leg...the two mentioned here in the four star dave...and will be deep again in the last leg.

Fairmount1

Very interesting that Levine and Repole claimed Cerro again although it doesn\'t show on the DRF PP\'s for those interested in the angle of a trainer/owner that claim one back.

TGJB

Holy smoke, an heir apparent. Now all you have to do is find out who Soupy Sales is (was). And why he got fired. It wasn\'t the \"banana cream\" line.

boardedup

I agree with you in the 8th.  Like Puca a lot, scratched out of what looked like a good spot and shows up here, that\'s where money will land assuming odds don\'t decline dramatically.

NoCarolinaTony

I know why he got fired, but here\'s a little Soupy Sales aka Milton Supman https://youtu.be/cherobZX9cc

I also like Puca quite a bit in that spot.

1,3,7,8 scratched out of the 9th?? Wow that sure changes things.

Give me Spartiatis.

Race 10 the logical ones. World Approval the best price......if you trust the ML. Disco Partner the other logical one to beat Chad.

Race 11: #7 The Pooch has good speed and should be a square price. For Pops and Dab will be used also.

Agree on last race....For Pops should take them as long as he can and it might be enough.....I would also not forget the Mott turn back...who knows what price he will be, but that horse has to be given a good chance second time maiden claiming and shortening up.

Boscar Obarra

Lol. Thanks . Never saw this .

And for those that want the full monty without the black bars.

Beach Patrol was maybe the 4th best horse in the Arlington Million, gets a wide trip and wins.  CB is truly a miracle worker.
