Am viewing it now and was waiting for it and until just now had missed the post, will get back to the seminar in a moment because if one is interested in this game one has to know what Jerry is tinkering with. The new comprehensive data is interesting, but have to mention if a large percentage of the trainers with top horses are lightening up on preps that doesn\'t mean a good horse from a trainer not in tune with the vogue isn\'t gonna come through upon a litany of 3YO preps. I think we all understand all data is relative. As are nicknames. Some mean something, some don\'t. Continuity in seeing a familiar nickname is a good thing. It links one with the past, but some canna do that. However, always believing it was merely a nickname is there any special meaning to the nickname \"nicely nicely? as say there may be with a nickname origin due to a funny clad character saying Lemon Drop Kid had no chance in the Belmont Stakes?

Love the comments on Fast and Accurate. \"He may or may not be accurate, but after a lone dirt effort 24, he most certainly is not fast.....Other than that, We Love Him\"!

T Sev:

I \"chuckled\" at your brief aside on nicknames.

One thought on the Seminar: Part of the emphasis was on two preps being better than
three preps, at least based on the TG \"effort distribution\" data. Interestingly, two
of the \"two prep\" runners, Classic Empire and McCracken, were supposed to have third
preps which were missed due to physical issues. Given the track cndition and the
fact that these two endured some bumping at the start, not sure that a third prep
would have made much difference.

Understood. They fit the pattern Jerry outlined in the seminar even more on the missed preps. Of course the data is what it is and he made a point to factor horses using it.  Results are relative to conditions both as to projection and placing and I think there was a doozy of a condition by Derby Race Saturday.

I\'ll be taking a calculated shot at the winner this next time. I\'ll work him in but I\'ll work him down too.  Looks like Classic Empire will be second choice and not much of a price, but I\'ve spied one other that will talk over later.

Nice to read you again!
