TG vs Rags Pim Race 9

Started by jerry, May 21, 2016, 01:40:00 PM

TG has Justin Squared slower than 5 others, 3 of them by 4pts. or more, while Rags have him tied with Never Gone South and otherwise faster than the others coming in. Alibi\'s to come.

jerry: Rough race. We\'ll never know. The rail does look puddly. JS hustled out to get position 2 to 3 off.

touchgold: never know what? That seemed pretty obvious to me.

jerry: Never Gone South checked hard as well as some others.

metroj: One speed horse in the race and Geroux is 10 lengths back off a :46 half, geez.

TGJB: I\'ll let others discuss whether they think there was trouble in the race, but I\'ll ask you (and Touchgold), did you look at them and us for the 6th? Just askin\'.

touchgold: I did not...on either...playing races 10-13.....4 looked strong on both last race...damn baffert...

TGJB: You can look at that race in the RBR tomorrow, see if you can get a look at theirs.
May 21, 2016, 04:21:58 PM
touchgold: I will, and ill try.

jerry: I have been looking at both today and, to your credit, I think you guys are having a better day where there\'s a significant discrepancy. I didn\'t buy the Analysis so not sure how you handicapped the 9th. JS had a good chance to go forward while some of the others all had faster tops but choppy lines.

As for the 6th, I had Merango Road only because Gabby liked him. Your dirt 5\'s didn\'t exactly mean he\'d back them up on the turf.

TGJB: Correct, he didn\'t have to. But his grass races were in line, and he had two of the three fastest numbers in the race. On Jake he was absolutely impossible, way slow and backward moving. Hopeless, a total throwout.

TGJB: And now there\'s Takeover Target, too.
May 21, 2016, 05:46:43 PM
touchgold: well, takeover target looked strong to me on sheets...4 yr old...with a pair of tops.....might have been a point slower than a few, but they had knocks...8 year old, and horse off a layoff....not sure who wouldnt of used him playing the sheets....
May 21, 2016, 06:07:49 PM
TGJB: He was MUCH slower relative to the field on Jake. Of the ones who had run on grass only one had a slower top. On TG his last three all gave him a shot, two of them gave him a big shot, great pattern. No comparison.
May 21, 2016, 06:37:31 PM
jerry: He had a dirt 10 at 2 which was competitive but honestly, on their sheets and yours none of them looked good enough to bet with any conviction. It was a messy race form wise. What\'d your analysis pick?
