As horseplayers have to deal with yet another price increase of the Daily Racing Form, anyone who is interested in the Dubai races will be disappointed to find only races 4 and 9 included in Saturday\'s form, the UAE Derby and World Cup. I guess the Sprint where an American is the 9/5 favorite (XY Jet) doesn\'t deserve to be included? You can write previews and articles about those races, but can\'t include the pp\'s this year? Price of paper went up? Gas? Ink? What\'s the excuse this time?

Just another mishap in a long line of seemingly calculated blunders for this dead on a stick publication. It\'s really hard to justify paying $9-10 when you can\'t even get the PP\'s that you want, and you have to turn 20-30 pages to continue handicapping the early Gulfstream card because the \"insert\" of Laurel, Parx etc is stuffed in the middle of the Gulfstream pages. Some days, it cuts off right in the middle of a race forcing you to flip around just to find the rest of the race you are trying to handicap.

Bravo DRF! You are disorganized, slack on the pp\'s that we need, offer very little insight in your articles, and have now decided to charge even more for that drivel. I\'d rather bet Miami Valley Harness than waste $10 to read every Saturday Mike Watchmaker pick the same obvious \"he had a bad trip\" or \"he ran against a bias\" type  horse, only to write articles the next day when he loses crying about the jockeys riding his selections so poorly. I see enough of that whiny garbage at my local OTB from the $2 bettors.

Please oh please can someone try to establish a rival daily publication the way Crist did many years ago (the Racing Times, I believe it was ). The players will only benefit from it, and contrary to what everyone else in the industry thinks, we are the ones that drive the sport.

*Rant Over*

Happy Easter/Passover to all, and good luck to everyone trying to hit that Rainbow 6!!!

Their online news product is horrible too.  Just trying to read their articles online is a huge pain.  You have to constantly login because they always log you out.  Then you have to login again if you want to read a DRF+ article.  Navigation sucks because when you click back you often have to then scroll all the way back down to where you were, or wind up back at the article you wanted to read again before it made you log back in.  Not to mention the constant pop up ads.  I almost don\'t go there anymore because it is soooo bad.

DRF owner, Arlington Capital Partners,a private equity firm that will bleed the company dry,try to position it\'s balance sheet, flip it.

DRF had 5 price increases over 2years and put just about every type of communication by its staff writers behind a paywall.ACP\'s interest in DRF as an ongoing enterprise does not exist, could be packaging horsespit in lieu of being the premier industry publication, could care less.
