I very much agree with your view here

He breezed Carpe Diem this weekend so if he sticks with CD as he originally planned, I would have to at the very least think twice about my view

But if he picks Materiality that is another plus for you.  Clear.  Look forward to what you see, I rode some horses (on trails!) and took care of a few but I really don\'t know what the hell I\'m looking at.  Ledbetter I ain\'t.

I think it\'s at least interesting that he hasn\'t chosen yet. You\'d think Carpe, given the form and record, would be a no brainer.  Unless the other option is something special.   Says to me he\'s leaning Materiality.

Now that Winstar owns both he can make a decision without prejudice. I wouldn\'t read into the delay.  I think Gomez waited a while to choose between Dunkirk and POTN and that was different trainers.  He wants to make sure they both make it to the race in good form/health. If he chooses Materiality I would think its an indictment of CD. If he chooses the other way it\'s neutral for me since CD is the proven horse over more races and surfaces so choosing CD is logical.
